On 7/10/2024, I went to a restaurant for lunch with my friend, her daughter, and my granddaughter. I ordered the meatloaf, while my granddaughter had the chicken tenders. We both had soda to drink, and the food was delicious. The service from the waitress was excellent. Our bill came to approximately $40.24 before the tip and tax. I overestimated the cost of the sodas at $3.00 each and left a $10.00 tip for the waitress separately from my friend. However, when I checked my bank statement on 7/24/24, I noticed I was charged $148.43 for my bill. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, who said he would investigate and call me back. I wanted to enjoy it more than I did, but for a near 150.00 dollar lunch with 2 adults and 4 children, I was hoping for better. The potato soup I had was lukewarm and too sweet. The Lodge Dip was mediocre (a small sandwich) with a plate of mediocre fries.The street tacos were not bad, but also small portions. The kids only had caesar salads, and I noticed the same portion in thesmall salad bowl was in both of the large bowls. Why even order a large salad? I was expecting more.
If you're looking a local watering hole with a friendly atmosphere, great food, and reasonable prices.....this is your place. The food is phenomenal, not to mention their daily and weekly specials. May I recommend rib night.

Great food service. Restaurant is a little noisy as there is open seating with no individual rooms. Visit GPL a few times a month.
