From the outside this restaurant doesn’t look like much. Don’t be fooled. This place is FANTASTIC. We went as a group of 4 and had a great time there. It wasn’t particularly busy the night we were there. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and was friendly too. It makes such a difference when the waiter is doing a good job, and this guy was brilliant. We ordered some garlic mushrooms that weren’t on the menu. The waiter assured us the chef would be more than happy to do a special dish for us which was great. I cannot understand how this restaurant accepts table reservations when it is apparently closed for 6 months. We had booked an early dinner from their website after a theatre visit in Tunbridge Wells and arrived at 5.30 to find the place eerily boarded up with mail gathering on the door mat. Enquiring next door we were told it had shot for 6 months. Fortunately next door accepted us even though they were fully booked on that evening. There was no indication on the website that it was closed. This is inexcusable. Suppose we had been a family group out for a special celebration evening? Will not be visiting again if it reopens!!
Another excellent meal at Tonbridge’s finest curry restaurant. Don’t be surprised if you leave Gurkha Planet nodding with a big smile on your face. The food is truly excellent. There’s an authentic Nepalese theme, but a few curry favourites with a twist (Salmon Tikka Masala for example). There’s an excellent beer alongside the staple Cobra, simply called Gurkha Beer, and it’s superior in every way to its better known cousin. Add friendly service and a reasonable price and you’ve got yourself a genuinely lovely little place to eat. Get yourself to Gurkha!
In a side road off the high street so quite well hidden, food was absolutely brilliant, great choices around lamb chicken prawns or fish and all cooked perfectly. Veggie dishes were great too, can definitely recomend the bean and lentil dish Service with a smile and superb non alcoholic cocktails made the this an extremely pleasurable visit, will be visiting again for sure. Flavoursome food, a varied but not overly complicated menu, a warm welcome and excellent service. Very reasonably priced too excellent value. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the food. Highly recommended.
A really friendly welcome followed by excellent service. Our waiter happily tailored the number of starters to suit the three of us. All the dishes served were really fresh and absolutely delicious.
My wife and I visited for dinner. We ate well prepared and enjoyable Nepalese food from a varied menu. The service was attentive and respectful. We recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food and a wonderful atmosphere! A shame the restaurant isn’t widely known, we’ve lived in. Sevenoaks for 22 years and only just found out by word of mouth!
