I went to this restaurant with friends and family a few days ago for a late lunch. Even for the lunch, it was all fully booked, luckily, we did not have to wait. The restaurant is easy to find and roadside parking is available in a very fair price. This is a small sized restaurant where maximum 30 approx. can eat in but popular local restaurant for the Nepalese food. It is always better to give a prior call and ask for a table as this place gets busy most of the times. All staff are very friendly and helpful and good service. food price is reasonably ok. Will definitely visit again.
Ghurka Villa does not have a great frontage but decided to take a chance. The menu was interesting with a good selection of meat and non meat dishes. The restaurant was clean , the waiter was not the most communicative but did help with our menu choices. Reading other reviews this place appears to either excellent or terrible. Take as you find for us the food was flavourful, cooked well and we thoroughly enjoyed all our dishes At around £12.50 a head plus drinks it was also excellent value. We would return and eat here again.
Our experience at the restaurant was average during this visit. The food we ordered was served on time and tasted good. However, the service could have been much better. When we arrived, no one greeted us and when we said 'namaste' as a courtesy, we did not receive a response which felt awkward. There was a strong, unpleasant smell coming from the nearby restroom. Although the restaurant had air fresheners and scented candles, they did not seem to be effective in masking the odor.
I had to wait 45 minutes before I knew my food was not getting ready yet. I had to make an easy decision of cancelling the order and move on and just pay for the drinks. But this left us hungry and bad taste because of the experience. To make the matter worst, the takeaways had being cooked on time and being picked by delivery services in front of waiting customers. During my stay in Aldershot, I sought out a Gurkha restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem. The establishment may have basic décor and furniture, but that didn't detract from the impeccable food. The service was friendly, the food arrived promptly, and the bill was surprisingly affordable. I dined here solo while on a business trip, and if I find myself in the area again, I will definitely return.
If you want a full authentic Nepali cuisine experience then this your place. The food is always tasty and you can't go wrong with the flavours. It's a long standing favourite restaurant in the nepali community and among the locals. It's a great spot to eat with friends and family. You can Nepali street food, classics like momo and the traditional thali set. Definitely recommend a visit.
I have been dining at this restaurant for a few years now. The food is delicious and portion sizes are generous. They are doing a great job following Covid protocols, which made me feel at ease. I highly recommend trying the Aloo Dum and Thukpa dishes.

They always make you pay by cash they don’t take card. After food they will come up with excuses that their card machine is not working
