New owners are taking a bit of time to come up to speed. Ours was a pre-booked party of 12 on a Sunday afternoon, yet there was only one cook and one person on wait staff in our section. Two of the orders were incorrectly prepared and my order took 40 minutes to arrive. Patience and good will on my part resulted in my receiving the most well-prepared plate in our group. I must recommend that bit of patience, good will, etc., as the staff are turning handstands to try and please their diners; it's only a spell of teething pains preventing things from once again being near perfect, and I expect they will get there in time for the seasonal tourists. Food is really good but their service is terrible!! If there was an option for a -ve star for their service I would gladly give them. Been here twice and I’ll never go back again! First time it took forever to be seated down even though other Spanish clients were seated down immediately. Asked for a to go box and it literally took them like 30 minutes. Forget about asking for napkins and refill of water! That by itself took over 25 minutes and glad we had carried our own bottles of water. Second time the food was good but service was a nightmare. Walked up to the hostess same time a waitress did, instead of acknowledging us she conversed with the waitress. Finally she seated us. Minutes later the hostess came back to take our order. We ordered 2 margaritas and told her we needed a few minutes to look at the menu. 15 minutes later another server brought us 1 margarita. Our hostess/waitress never came back. EVER. I asked a gentleman who was sitting at a computer for some service. He mumbled something and never got up nor got anyone to help. 15 minutes later we got up and went to another Mexican restaurant Tequila's Mexican Grill Cantina where we were served 2 margaritas and great food
This is an AMERICAN style spanish restaurant, DEFINITELY NOT authentic. No flavour either. The waiter Luis was nice, but got my food order wrong twice. I was with a group of people that their food orders were old (like they gave them old food) and at the end everyone had diarrhea, upset stomach, nausea and the night was ruined. My wife and I are always looking for authentic Mexican food that feels like home. La Hacienda has delicious food. The Mexican rice melts in your mouth. The refried beans with the cotija cheese on top is to die for. The chips and guacamole is super delicious. We took it back to our hotel. If we are ever in Clearwater again, this is definitely a repeat.
The food was really good, lots of flavor, large portions. We had the house margs, they were good! The chips and salsa good as well. We are local, abs will definitely return. Was not busy on a Friday lunch time, which at first bothered us, but glad stayed.
Best fajitas around. They make their own guacamole and it's so good. Everything my family and I have had there has been very good, and the service and atmosphere are too. The prices are very reasonable too!!

NOT authentic Mexican food. The pork on the sopes de carnitas smelled like it was going bad. The chicken from the flautas was sweet. Nobody finished their food. The service was just ok.
