My siblings and I recently hosted a birthday party at Hackney's for our parents' milestone birthdays (80 85), and it was great! The setting was ideal, the food was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the staff was excellent! Especially with all the uncertainties that go with being in the midst of this pandemic, the Hackney's team was very easy to work with and accommodating in the planning of the event (recognizing that our guest count may have had to change significantly or that we may even have needed to cancel the event at the last minute). My husband grew up Chicago and I heard stories of trips to Hackney’s before heading to the Bears game. So any trip back we look forward to a Hackneys burger and onion loaf to bring back those memories. Christmas time didn’t disappoint! The food and the ambience and service was amazing and the key lime pie was the best ever.
Hackney's has been our go-to restaurant for a family meal on St. Paddy's Day for many years. We used to visit the Printer's Row location, but now we prefer the northern suburbs. The presence of bagpipes for the day added a special touch to our experience.
Great atmosphere. Able to bring kids but still feel like I was at an adult restaurant. Plus use to go there when it first opened and it is still s great place.

I ordered hot corned beef on a rye bread and it was so good. She had a burger which she said was so good and well done.
