one of the best ramen restaurants in sydney. I have tried hakatamon on darling square and the chatswood is no other, except there are much more sitting and tables. the caption ramen hakata maru has excellent broth and chili on the side to suit their desire. hakata also offers Asian bao, beside dishes, rice dishes, curry rice, dessert and drinks (alcoholic and alcohol-free). something that might interest them is their takeaway di tonkotsu hot pot set that can be cooked at home for 2-3 people for $42 (although the price seems to have increased from $38). the rugs are not cheap and they will look between $15-21, while tears all under $20 and rice dishes all under $10, to jump to extra cost. the...
I enjoy Japanese food from my years living in Tokyo and I visit Hakatamon every week or so for Ramen. There is a wide variety on offer although their signature ramen, Hakatamon, is my personal favourite. My family try other ramen dishes and they are all good. Value, service and taste are all excellent. A Japanese cafe-type atmosphere rather than a restaurant. Beer, sake and soft drinks are available and, also BYO. Their non-ramen dishes such as katsu curry rice are good rather than excellent so I always stick to ramen. Family friendly. Based on reviews, I thought this would be a good place to try some ramen. However I was really disappointedKaraage and Gyozas were clearly not authentic and from a package.I got the tonkotsu miso ramen and the soup was pretty bland, and had a dark unpleasant colour.The classic tonkotsu broth was so bland.The chashu and egg were alright, but the broth is what makes or breaks a ramen for me, and this was a miss. Also really overpriced for what you get.Try Ryos noodles- best ramen in sydney.I will not be returning.
Great option for a quick and efficient ramen meal if you have cravings, but the ramen itself wasn’t too special here compared with the other ramens available in chatswood. I ordered the white original ramen and my husband ordered the red ramen which was overly spicy for him. The surface of the table we sat was a bit sticky. Staff was quite friendly. The ramen was a bit pricey, but still under $20 (I ordered the tonkatsu with an extra egg). It was quite tasty, and the pork was perfectly cooked—tender and not tough at all. The staff were friendly, and the music selection was excellent; they played Lisa along with many other J-pop tracks. Overall, I would rate the food 5/5, the service 5/5, and the atmosphere 5/5. Highly recommend!
The ramen here is really good. It's not cheap, but it's also not excessively pricey. I can’t find much to criticize about this place. I tried the Hakatamon Tonkatsu for $20.18 and the Takoyaki for $9.

We really enjoy the chewy ramen here, and I believe it tastes better than the ramen at Ippudo.
