some of the best Chinese seafood I have ever eaten!!! it was so good. do not let the look of the restaurant stand out, its alittle dated and could benefit from a fresh but the personal and eating defo makes for them! please take my word for it! the man who served us as a waiter was also the cook in the night, heard that this is quite normal at quiet nights, I feel that this worked in our gunst, although we were wondering about getting to put different dishes and he could really help recommend dishes and change schirr to fit us! sometimes we had to wait a few minutes to get a drink as he cooked our dinner, but we have nothing to do with it, because it was worth it and he was really friendly!...
We were invited to a unique experience in Cambridge UK a small, unassuming seafood restaurant. You would never imagine that behind this door, amid simple surroundings, would be such an elegant culinary artist. Our host called and pre ordered because this is a small restaurant with very high standards. It was like having a persona chef. He went and sourced the seafood personally, a Dorset blue lobster. As we are from Boston, we thought we know lobsters. We were wrong. Cooked to order, with garlic, spring onion, and a certain kind of chili spice, we have never tasted anything like it. Now, we were not disappointed....the menu is big and has a lot to choose from really different directed. there were four in our group, so we asked the owner to put together a menu for us. we had cooked deep fried tintenfische and king prawnen in garlic and chili to begin this was followed by duck pancakes (we had 1/2 a duck). then we had steak boiled in the most amazing sauce, black cajau, Hong-kong sweet and steamed rice. everything was cooked, seasoned, full of taste and beautifully presented. the owner is her 'growth, cook, barman, washing machine. they call it this heart makes it all of itself ', that mean...
Hakka is the best restaurant in Cambridge hands down. The food is amazing, it’s very well prepared, you will always get fresh ingredients and Daniel will tailor to your taste. My absolute favorite dish is the kung pao scallops, the sauce is citrusy and vinegary and spicy, it is like no other Kung pao I have ever had. Please order it. My other favorite is salt and chili prawns, they are fresh perfectly crispy and just the right amount of spice! While the food is amazing, best part about Hakka is Daniel, he is unbelievable. We chose Hakka’s for our wedding anniversary meal, as we wanted something special. We were very pleased with the whole experience. This is a high quality restaurant. Like other high quality restaurants, and in contrast with more mediocre ones, the ingredients are all fresh. This means that the range of what can be ordered depends on what has been bought in. As with other very good restaurants, what makes it first class is the quality of the dishes provided. I just had a great meal here. the stff worked really hard to make us welcome and they managed to do it well. our food was fantastic, it was well cooked and very well presented. there was also a lot of food for all of us to share. the cost here were very reasonable and we would make a beeline for this place once we come back to cambridge.
the best chinese we ever had! the crispy chili puwn and mongolic lamb pancakes were sensational, followed by crispy cantonese bark and kung pao prawns with a fried rice. absolutely no problem with the owner/cook – he was beautiful, although the atmosphere was not exactly swung but we were there for the!

Though severely hit by the crisis, Hakka Cambridge continues to be the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the United Kingdom. Delicious seafood and fish dishes. Very good quality/price. Enjoy it while it lasts.
