went to this place when it first opened and the food and prices were great.went there tonight and was very disappointed.the prices have gone up a lot and the food has gone downhill.ordered halibut and chips and when i started eating the halibut the fish...was paper thin and the batter was thick was a little embarrassed because i took my girlfriend there thinking we would have a great meal.i won't be going back.there are a few other fish and chip places in the neighborhood when are way better and cheaper.the place use to be crowded but tonight it was almost empty.now i know why
Went there with my wife times this week. Live about ten miles away at Yonge and Eglinton.. Top notch, portions ingredients, Had halibut and chips times,double fish. Everything is delicious, fish, chips, coleslaw. Fish tastes like it was just landed in boat. Very...respectful, friendly to customer. Treat you like friends. Best fish and chips have ever had in my life, I turn today. So delicious so generous, so eye appealing. I call the fish my golden beauties. for a diet coke and one piece of overcooked fish is a lot. The venue is also cafeteria-like. But there isn't a lot else around which looks clean and serves fish so there you go. I've been here ten times in the last and it is not my favourite Fish Chip restaurant in East Danforth! They do a large portion and this alone keeps the majority of customers happy! I like their fish chips and...U can subsitute for salade and they certainly give U an exellent portion! The desserts are very decent as I do like cheescake and they have a variety of choices! Spend an hour this evening with my Toronto based friend at Halibut House over Grilled Halibut Fish with Chips and Greek Salad plus hot black coffee. Their fish is truly special and tasty. Quantity of huge quantity french fry is excellent and green salad is...absolutely fresh. It's a huge meal and very difficult for one person to consume. Best thing about their coffee is it's kind of abundant as after my first cup the waiter girl refilled it and eventually I had four cups
Moved here in the summer from UK and knew that one of the things I'd miss would be decent fish and chips. This was my first Canadian fish and chips and certainly hope there are better places. Genuinely cant be described as anything better than...average. And as someone else has pointed out it is expensive for what you get it was almost twice the price of my favourite place in the UK
The special was great and a good amount of food. The only problem is the waitress should wash her hands after sweeping the floor. Found that disgusting. Order the haddock special on Sunday and Monday. The vinegar coleslaw tasted great. The amount of fish...and fries you get reminds me of when you go to the US and the portions they serve

Bright, clean atmosphere. Very attentive server and food served quickly. Had the haddock special. Fish and coleslaw were very good. The chips were not as crisp and hot as I like them but alright. Will return
