I visited a Mexican burger joint called Burger Mexican and tried the El Gordo burger with fries. It was decent, but it lacked avocado, which was disappointing since it looked great in the picture. I also ordered some street tacos, which were pretty good, although the tortilla could have been warmer. The hot sauces were served in small baggies, giving off a somewhat unconventional presentation. The eating area was messy and sticky, but it seemed like they may have been undergoing a remodel or had recently opened. The staff was friendly and the prices were typical for today's standards. I might return to try something else or visit a different location for a better experience. Enjoy!
I ordered two classic cheeseburgers around 10pm on July 24, 2023, but received two cheeseburgers with pork and pineapple instead. I tried calling the restaurant, but it was closed. The next morning, on July 25, 2023, I returned to the restaurant and the lady working there informed me that it was a night shift issue and she was unable to help me. It is important for restaurants to cater to customers with dietary restrictions, including religious and allergy-related restrictions.
I love their food, hate ordering from this place. It is insanely disorganized how things are done. There is one women, who is sweet, that is slammed running around to take phone orders, take care of walkins, and help package and inspect the food.I feel bad being there and each time I come I have to wait at least 5-10 minutes for her to be free to hand me my food.

This is a amazing place. Burgers be so good. Who would’ve thought a Mexican burger joint would be the spot?! The fries are bomb, got my mouth watering just typing it. There house burger is great even the regular plain cheeseburger is great. There take on the hotdogs too is just chefs
I ordered the El Vegan burger with tortilla chips and guacamole. The guacamole was amazing - I couldn't resist eating it with a spoon. The chips were fresh and I enjoyed the addition of jalapeños on the El Vegan burger, giving it a flavor similar to a satisfying real meat burger.
This is my top choice for burgers in Minneapolis. It's a hidden gem that doesn't get enough credit. The atmosphere may not be fancy, but it beats waiting 45 minutes at Matt's or the 5-8 Club, both of which are just around the corner from Gordo's.
The street tacos and burgers banged! We loved the authenticity of the Mexican food and the number of choices on the menu. Staff seemed like hard workers... maybe a little overworked. Indoor dining space is very generic. Planning to return.
