Handel's Homemade Ice Cream Yogurt

As a native of Youngstown, OH, where Handel's first started, I was thrilled to discover a Handel's in my new home in Southern California! Without a doubt, they serve the BEST ice cream anywhere—it's a fact! Every day, each location makes their ice cream by hand using high-quality ingredients. They offer generous portions, an impressive array of toppings, and the staff is fantastic! If you've never been, this place is a MUST-TRY, and I can guarantee you'll find yourself wanting to come back for more. Thank you, Handel's, for being truly incredible!

The ice cream at this place is excellent! It's an Ohio-based company, so you can expect authentic Midwestern flavors and rich, delicious desserts. We also tried the fat-free and sugar-free options, and they were surprisingly tasty as well. Although there can be long lines, that just shows how much people love it and the loyal customers they've built. Don’t let the wait discourage you; it’s definitely worth it! Update (8/3/2022): It's just as good as I remembered, and while the lines are still long, they move swiftly.

I’m a big fan, but I have to point out something about the Redondo stalls: their sampler size is significantly smaller than at other locations (Northridge, Pasadena, Carlsbad, Las Vegas, Huntington Beach). The difference is shocking! The flavors were relatively consistent, although the banana cream pie had a noticeably thicker pie crust compared to the other places. I also agree with another reviewer about the texture—why is it so soft? It shouldn't be that soft when serving ice cream.

Absolutely love the concept. It's a walk-up ice cream shop that's busy in the evenings, but has a crazy number of flavors! There are even a few for those with any number of food allergies. On our last trip there we made a point to stop almost every night so we could cover their selection better! The ice was so soft that it quickly turned into a watery mess, dripping all over our clothes. This was our first visit to this stall. We can't help but wonder if it's always like this. Are they cutting costs and trying to save energy by not fully freezing their products?

almost always a long line, but it moves fairly quickly. there?s a large menu which makes it great for satisfiying large groups of picky ice cream eaters. i, personally, like the combo of banana cream pie with graham central station ????

Fantastic ice cream. Two for Tuesdays (or Half off if solo) large size single scoop $3.50 They make their own ice cream each day on site and I would say there are close to 40 flavors available.

The best ice cream in the South Bay! Go on tuesdays for $3.50 cup which is actually like 2 scoops of ice cream. Staff is always nice!
