I stopped by for lunch after a round of golf. The restaurant is located in an industrial area but has a nice atmosphere inside. The space is small but not cramped, with friendly staff and good music playing. The lunch special included a choice of fish, ribs, steak, or prawn linguini. I opted for the steak and was impressed with the quality. The house-made pepper sauce and gratin were delicious, and the side of steamed vegetables was a nice touch. I enjoyed a glass of Shiraz and a craft beer with my meal. The service was good, and they had a thoughtful wine list and quality flatware. The only downside was having to ask for bread, but it was provided toasted. Overall, the meal was great value...
Tucked well out of the way we found Hansa thanks to search on TA. We thought we were in the wrong spot when we pulled up to a commercial strip in a residential area, looking around we saw the cafe, it looked like it was...closing as seating outside was being packed up, however a check inside revealed a well presented restaurant ready for the evening trade. Hansa is a cafe by day and transformed to restaurant by night. We were ably looked after by Sean, he walked us through the menu and mentioned the special of the day was scotch fillet. The scotch was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth. We kept it simple and added a sauce and greens and can recommend the peppercorn and bernaise. Meat...
This is a restaurant serving up top class food in a back street. The steak is truly a stand-out highlight it’s as good as you can get anywhere! We loved the high ceilings, relaxed atmosphere and nice big tables. Service was friendly and they...didn’t rush us and they did a great job at social distancing, with everything nicely spaced. One thing that would be good is a bit more option for a vegetarian (we didn’t really see a meal on the menu for the veggie in our house who we’d like to join us another time). Great job Hansa’s you’ve got us sold and we will be back!
Riding on the back of a trade name synonymous with meat since the means you have to get it perfectly right from the quality of the food, range preparation point of view they do exactly that! Nothing fancy about the restaurant itself...or the location which is in a commercial hub in Mordialloc but this certainly helps with the parking in a way, adds a quirky, back of the factory feel to the place. So: food, value for money, parking all out of Service, wine list, ambience out of Well worth a visit but try Thursday nights which, I believe, is ham hock night.

It was a wet Sunday lunch time when we found Hansas. Very friendly helpful staff. Lunch time special menu great value. We all chose a Steak meal along with a couple of sides and were not disappointed. Cooked to our liking. . Good wine list....Excellent coffee. Will certainly be visiting again to try their delicious looking desserts!!
OMG what a surprise, very unexpected little place in a back street of Mordi, doesn’t look like much but the food was off the chart amazing! Without a doubt the best steak I’ve ever had in my entire life, actually melted in my mouth. Will...definitely be back...

Had lunch there. Great value, loved the salmon and my wife loved her steak. Will definitely be back. Also does coffees so will be handy for Stingrays soccer matches at Jack Grut or Doug Denyer. .

The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and knowledgable. The lunch menu is delicious and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend giving this place a try.
