When I first visited Happy Family Inn back in 2013 it blew me away with how amazing the food was and how friendly the staff were, now is 2015 and the food has gone down in quality a little and now the staff just sort of "go through the motions".
Looking past these two things this place is still my favourite Chinese in Perth by far, the quality of the dishes is just far beyond anything you will find in the suburbs and does well considering it's in the same area as the two juggernauts "Uncle Billys" and "Billy Lees" and manages to take them to school in almost every aspect except for restaurant size of course.
Now the food, they have all the basics you will find in any Chinese and much more...

Das gekochte Rindfleisch; Sie zahlten buchstäblich 80% von 16 US-Dollar (ca.) für die Bohnenaussputungen, während der Rest die Menge an Rindfleisch entfacht, die dort in der Rindfleisch entfielen - nur wie 10 Max-Scheiben von kleinem Rindfleisch? Sogar schlechter für den Darm ...

Very disappointed with tonight's dishes in regards to the portions. We had boiled beef and pickled vegetables w/ mixed intestines. The boiled beef; you were paying literally 80% of $16 (approx) for the bean spouts whereas the rest accounted for the amount of beef put in there - only like 10 max slices of small beef? Even worse for the intestines...

Der Kellner diente uns mit einem Fischcracker-Snack, nachdem wir unseren Tisch bekommen hatten. Wir waren tatsächlich wie der Geschmack von Nahrungsmitteln, aber nur klar, dass es viele kleine Bisse von Knochen in der Nahrung gab, und es war wirklich so nervig und inakzeptabel!

Randomly walked into this restaurant for dinner because we would like to try something different as we have been tried the surrounding Chinese restaurants.
The waiter served us with some fish cracker snack right after we got our table. We were actually like the taste of food at first, but only realised that there were many SMALL BITES OF BONES in the food and it was really so annoying and unacceptable!
Been served with cut watermelon at the end and were thinking if there is any charge on those snacks and fruits. The answer is YES! *there is no such thing as free lunch*

Ich bin jetzt ein paar Mal hier gewesen und dieser Ort ist wirklich übereinstimmend mit der Lebensmittelqualität! Das Zitronenhuhn ist ein Muss probieren. Das einzige, was ich hasse, ist, wie rauchen draußen erlaubt ist; Es ist so ein winziger Laden und es wäscht durch die Tür. Das Personal blüht auch in der Tür, aber sie können ebenso gut rauchen, um den Unterschied zu rauchen, der es macht!
