It's been a long time (thanks Covid! since we've been to Happy's for a meal. It's gotten even better in our absence. Service is the same high quality friendly service. The interior has been updated/freshened up. There's even a new menu. The food was awesome, I'm used to a high standard from here anyway, but they surpassed themselves with this meal. We had a range of entrees and mains and there was no complaints from anyone, in fact, there were lots of comments about how tasty and tender the meals were. 10/10 will be eating here again.
Happy is a place where I've been since my childhood and thinks so many memories for me. The food here is delicious and authentic Cantonese style. Try her Chow mine, it has the best gravy from each in Canberra, so tasteful and fill. It tastes better the next day. They can also not go wrong with their meat dishes, they are all unequivocally tender and well seasoned. Mushrooms are also great! Sometimes their portions can be incompatible, but it is still a joy every time.
Went there knowing the place has a good reputation. Left feeling disappointed was an understatement. Ordered two dishes, one was beef ginger shallot and the other one was stir fry spicy vegetables with tofu. Both didn't hit the mark. The vegetables was very bland and had bitter taste in it. It was almost like no seasoning in the food at all. The other dish was also missing a puzzle. Overall thumbs down experience and won't be going back anymore.
We had a fantastic experience at this traditional Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was fast, and they were very accommodating to our large group. I highly recommend this place for a classic Chinese meal. The service, atmosphere, and food all received top ratings from us. The average price per person is between A$20-40 for dinner.

Food was good what we could tasted) Sad part is that we were very pushed to order entrees and ones the entrees arrived have not start to eat) they start to push us to order main. Came back after many years, partly because of fond memories, partly because I read good reviews lately. Restaurant was smaller and darker than remembered. Food was pretty okay. Service was bad. First time hearing a waitress telling the customer you 're so rude when the customer didn 't even say anything, absolutely taken aback. Meal type: Lunch
Rude staff, we felt we were being rushed. The place is conveniently located at Garema Place, however the staff doesn’t seem to care about their customers. I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the honey chicken. I would give it 5 stars across the board for service, food, and atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the honey chicken.

Eating underground felt sketchy. The food was overly sweet and pricey. A small soup cost $9.50 and a soda jug cost $12, with another $12 charge for a refill. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all scored a 1 out of 5.
