The oyster stew was terrible; it tasted like watered-down milk with hardly any seasoning. There were only about three oysters in the container, and it had no seafood or oyster flavor—just bland, watered-down cream. The clam chowder was also unpleasant, leaving a strange aftertaste. The container of fried mushrooms was barely a quarter full, and the fried pickles were about the same. Overall, it was not worth the $62 total. When I first visited this restaurant years ago, I ordered a platter of fried oysters that was generous and filling. The last time I went, the portion size was a quarter of that. Placed a take out order. the sweet potato was very sour tasting. The manager said all of their sweet potatoes were looked at before serving. I told her that there was no way that they could tell if it tasted bitter. The flounder tasted very fishy. I have ate there many times and always got black side flounder this was not it. The server said that flounder was one of the fishiest tasting fish there was. Lol My husband Just left and went to get fish from captain's galley on Springs road. I can assure you we will not be going back to Harbor Inn. They did not even appear concerned about the issue
I visited this wonderful restaurant for the first time, and it exceeded my expectations. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the food was delivered quickly. In terms of quality, the food was excellent. One of the standout features of this fantastic place is the portion sizes—they are truly impressive! I could easily have dinner tonight and lunch for tomorrow. The prices are very reasonable and fair, making it a fantastic value overall.
Good food but I am disappointed in how much food you DONT get on their specials. They used to fill up your to go box but now with a special it’s not really a special considering the small amount of food you get. Food isn’t the same anymore. They don’t season it, just cook everything in the same grease. Every since COVID-19 the “Real Owners” which are older is not able to be there to keep things in order. Harbor Inn has gone down BIG TIME since March. I think I’ll try Captians Gallery see if their any better.
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The scallops were tough and rubbery, and the crab legs were served ice cold. The waitress was overly attentive, which made it hard to enjoy our meal. While I’m sure others may have had better visits, the food just didn’t have any flavor.
I have been very sick and have not been able to eat. The first thing I wanted was one piece of flounder. The flounder was very good. Hit the spot.But the price is ridiculous. I had no slaw, potato, or hushpuppies. Next time I want flounder,I will have to figure out something different.

Once a month, I treat myself to the best seafood in town. The food is incredible!
