First, the good parts: The service was a little slow, but the server was very efficient, courteous and had great personality. The view, as we were seated in the open uncovered space, was very gorgeous. Second, the not so good parts: The food was really mediocre and bland. There were three in our company one had fish and chips that seriously were something you might expect from a less notable establishment. The fish pieces were oval shaped, flat and stiff, and did not appear fresh at all. The second in our party had some sort of rib sandwich that really looked out of place on the menu. The food we ordered was absolutely delicious, utilizing high-quality ingredients and served hot by a friendly and efficient server. The clam chowder, mussels with classic sauce, fries, coleslaw, and burger were all outstanding. One of the highlights is their dog-friendly deck, where our 100 lb hound was warmly welcomed! True to its name, the restaurant offers fantastic views of the harbor, accompanied by refreshing saltwater breezes on the deck. There are tables in shaded areas at the bar or with individual umbrellas for extra comfort. We will definitely be back!
We were a group of 6 adults. We have all been to the Harbor View and couldn't wait to eat there again. We were seated at the outside deck on a Sunday evening. We all ordered something different. We were all equally disappointed. The food was cold and overcooked. The seafood boil was missing the corn on the cob an the potatoes. The London broil sandwich was so dry you could crack the meat on the table and it would break. The fried clams were all breading, no clams, etc. So disappointed. Probably wouldn't go back again.
We absolutely loved this restaurant! Our server, who also handled the bar, was incredibly kind and friendly to everyone. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was attentive to all our requests. The food was fantastic—I just wish I had a bigger appetite! The view was lovely and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We will definitely be returning. We went to eat as a large party yesterday. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating. Our server Brandon went above and beyond. I informed him of an allergy I had and placed my order. He returned shortly after informing me there was some dairy in the meal. He provided me with a list that he checked that was dairy free. I really appreciated it and he went above and beyond to make sure that there was still stuff I could eat. Thank you for a great experience.
Did not enjoy our experience here. It has a great view, but that's it. Smoking is allowed outside at the bar, so it's very smoky. The service was odd in that you order drinks at the bar, but have to catch the attention of the server as she walks around. We had to wait for a while for her to come by. The spinach salad was wilted and leaves going bad. It was mostly inedible.
I crave outside bars in the summer. It's always so nice here and I get to love all the dogs that other people bring in with them.The clams casino are always so tasty, but this time I felt for the price, the clam should have been bigger than the size of a dime.Fish tacos were amazing!
We came here for happy hour. Had a couple vodka seltzers and we shared the clam strips, chicken tenders, steamed little neck clams and the dungeoness crab claw.
