I visited a bustling and affordable restaurant on St. Charles in Kirkland that appears to focus on sushi. As I am not a fan of sushi or seafood, I opted for classic American Chinese dishes like General Tso's chicken and egg rolls. Unfortunately, the General Tso's chicken and other fried items were incredibly overcooked to the point of being hard as a rock. The meat inside was so dry that it was difficult to eat. Overall, my experience was terrible and I have no plans to return. However, my dining companion thoroughly enjoyed their sushi meal.
I have been frequenting many sushi restaurants in the West Island, but Hasu truly stands out for its consistent quality in service, food, and atmosphere. Their All-you-can-eat option offers generous portions of high-quality sushi, or you can opt for their special lunch menu which also provides great value for the price. The level of service is good to very good, depending on the staff member attending to you. However, the owner is particularly friendly and attentive.
We ordered a variety of sushi and wok foods and none of it tasted good. Some didn't taste bad per say, but most of it was inedible. When asked why we didn't eat we told the man that we didn't enjoy the food and he was rude and told us he didn't think that was true because he had been serving people all night the same food and we were the only ones who complained. Both my husband and I had stomach issues that night and into the morning. Will never be going back here.
We went Sunday.The food was served quickly, no complaints there.The price is affordable and all you can eat.Sadly after having the beef tataki and some sushi rolls and sashimi, 4 family members (sorry for the image) vomited all day the next day!Not normal for that was our only meal of the day for we were busy.Therefore this happening to four people which one had to go to the emergency is just not right.Very kind staff but we will never return! As far as all you can eat places go, Hasu is better than most. This isn't the traditional buffet style restaurant, but rather a menu driven approach that allows you to order as you go. Sushi is relatively well made and fresh (it's not pre-made and refrigerated because the rice is not hard) and other menu items are made on demand. Great place for lunch and not terribly expensive as far as sushi restaurants go.
This restaurant has a great family oriented environment. The staff were all very swift and friendly.Despite not having a huge variety, the fish was definitely fresh. However, the deep fried foods were kept under for too long.Decent place if you're in the area and don't want to drive further, but otherwise there is better
They have a wide choice of Chinese or Japanese . The sashimi and sushi is quite good. Where else can you find octopus and surf clam sashimis in the West Island ? This restaurant will satisfy sushi newcomers and experienced sashimi and sushi enthusiasts.
Came here with my boyfriend for a night out and it was delicious. The price is pretty low for most all-you-can eat; not by much, but still better than most! The sushi tasted fresh and looked even better. Definitely coming back. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Amazing food and quick service. We liked it so much we stayed till the place closed and they started vacuuming:) Staff was super friendly and delivered fabulous service with a smile. I would go back in a heartbeat.
