I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my birthday today, at Haveli, Chilwell, Nottingham, with family and friends. The service, food, venue and atmosphere, was 5 star quality. After making my booking, the restaurant contacted me twice, to check details. The table was set nicely and we had ample room, at the table and around the table. The food was excellent. 20% discount was applied, as all my guests, had a starter and main. Staff sang happy birthday and played musical instruments. I have dined in Haveli several times. But this was my first big celebration there. All my guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience and all said, they will be going back.
The staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly. The wine selection is excellent and the drinks are made perfectly. The atmosphere is lovely and the people are great. Today, we were introduced to a new concept at the restaurant called a Thali. This consists of several dishes, with the choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian options. It is common in India to eat like this on special occasions. The flavors were fantastic and we enjoyed it so much that we practically cleaned our plates. It was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it.
We have visited Haveli several times for family celebrations, and this time we went to celebrate my dad's 85th birthday. The food was outstanding, especially the lamb kebabs. The service was excellent, with friendly staff who even sang Happy Birthday to my dad and played the tambourine. All of the guests had a great time and praised the food. Special thanks to Dimple, Rav, and the rest of the staff for making it a memorable occasion.
Lovely meal in this great environment with quality tableware. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Overheard that it was my birthday and came to the table to sing happy birthday and served a birthday dessert. Food was well prepared and presented with an excellent choice. Our fifth visit and yet again the food was outstanding thank you. Back in August we ordered takeaway for 12 of us for a birthday meal. The first Indian takeaway that actually tasted like being in the restaurant. The service is excellent too, thank you.
Have visited the place a dozen or so times in the last 6 years. Never had an issue. The food is always good the staff are well mannered. The mark up on the champagne is very small compared to other restaurants.
This restaurant is really friendly and really make an effort to make your night the best possible, my family come here quite alot and we reccomend coming here on a night out.
