First time dining here. It was my husband's birthday and unfortunately he had to work late so I called to move our reservation a half hour later. I spoke to the owner, who was so nice, and explained our situation. Even though they were booked, he not only changed our reservation, he gave us the most romantic table in the dining room. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very pretty and clean and the food was delicious. We had the tuna tartare appetizer which was excellent. I would go there just for that. We had the cod and the rigatoni bolognese, both very tasty. The cod was perfectly cooked and very fresh. We are definitely going back. Such a wonderful experience...
Food is very picture worthy but the quality is just medicore. I'm disappointed in the food was hoping for better. What really makes me want to leave a bad review is the rude manager woman. Having worked as a server myself, I know damnwell when they're trying to rush you out and flip the table. She wasn't even good about it. Flat out said isn't it late night for ur toddler? It was 730 and it's none of your business. Our toddler was well behaved even other servers came over to say so. That managers comment alone is enough for me to be leaving this review. So unprofessional and unwelcoming we will not be back.
My third visit here and I continue to be impressed and amazed at this wonderful gem of a resto right here in Nassau county. Small and intimate with an amazing staff. Our lovely waitress Eimear was knowledgeable about all the food and paid very special attention to me and my niece- who was celebrating her birthday. Everything was delicious including the meticulously crafted cocktails. Can't wait to return !
Absolutely delicious! Will return very soon! My husband and I came to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and it was delicious the service was great. I'm currently pregnant and so nice to see a mock tail on the menu. It was also so good I ordered a second one! So nice to have such an amazing and wonderful restaurant in our area. We've been to Haviland several times. It's an intimate space, nice folks, tasty menu items (bootleg eggplant parm, garlic herb shrimp, max cheese, Haviland burger) and will keep going back. They have many cocktails to choose from although we aren't big drinkers (maybe a beer or glass of wine).
Great food, great service and friendly welcoming environment. Don and his family are amazing and always make us feel welcome. Other diners are friendly, a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. A great experience each and every time.
