Edit: just received a call back with an explanation that this was an error from the kitchen and an apology and offer of compensation if I order again. Probably unlikely, but good to see some good customer service. Ordered on uber eats; based on app, this is a $$$ restaurant and would therefore expect reasonably good quality. We ordered a salmon roll and fresh tuna roll, both were supposed to come with avocado according to the menu. On arrival these did not have avocado and instead had cucumber which was not part of the description on the menu and which I would not have ordered had I known they would come with cucumber instead of avocado. We went as a family of five and ordered one entree and 4 different bento boxes. We had the gyoza which was quite nice, it's always nice when the the gyoza is filled with a substantial, juicy filling. As for the bento boxes, we had the chicken katsu, tori karaage, salmon teriyaki and fish teriyaki. It was nice. But we wouldn't go as far as saying it was the best we've ever had. For the price you pay for the bento box, you could get a bigger serving of the meat. The downside of this place would have to be the wait time. It took a really long time for all the dishes to come out. Having said that, it was still an enjoyable night.

Tried this place for the first time. My favourite dishes were the salmon katsu, lotus chips and the yaki udon. The salmon katsu was fried to perfection, salmon was still moist inside and it was matched well with the dipping sauce. The yaki udon was yummy and with good flavours. The lotus chips were crispy and served well with the rest of the food we ordered. We also ordered the Urakasumi sake tasting platter consisting of 3 little glasses of Sake with alcohol content ranging from 20% to 35%. Enjoyed my dinner here. Though disappointed the desserts we ordered had already run out.

Really good service, the waiter was very friendly and professional, I felt like I was in a really fancy high quality place! Food service could have been a bit faster, everything tasted great though. My boyfriend was celebrating his birthday and the waiter even gave him a small birthday gift afterwards! And they even commented on our photo on Facebook after! Hayashi pretty standard Japanese restaurant in Applecross it's quite big, has the usual Perth Japanese fare like teriyaki, sushi and teppayaki. The food quality and pricing is ok. Bento box is quite reasonable and I noticed it was recently on the entertainment card.

I ordered the Crispy Fish curry Don it was tasty and the service was really friendly but a little slow. If your coming in a group during work hours you can pre-order your food.

We have been here many times and the food is always incredible, topped off with excellent service and reasonable prices. Definitely one of my favourite Japanese restaurants!

Really so yummy and so professional. I love the beef tataki most. The serve is nice too. I would definitely come again and introduce to my friends.

Very average. Very disappointed. Defiantly not restraint quality that you want to spend much money on, tastes more like food court standard
