Our party of four visited this restaurant on a Sunday and had some difficulty finding parking due to the limited space. We ended up parking in the neighborhood nearby. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating. Upon entering, we noticed a countertop to the right with a register where we had to wait for someone to assist us in getting a table. Vamos!! Today's adventure led us to a hidden treasure, a cozy eatery with vibrant colors that it's impossible to overlook, despite its secluded location. As soon as we arrived, Lisseth, our gracious host, greeted us with a friendly smile. She was incredibly helpful, answering all our questions and offering us an array of mouthwatering menu choices. Frijoles is a nice place to go for a good Mexican meal, the portions are ginormous. The wife and I both agree we really need to stop ordering our own burritos and just share one. I LOVE that they have good IPA on draft, very rare in a Mexican place. they have a few others, Great happy hour special on that draft, a 22 oz draft for $9 in a FROSTED MUG!!! Neighborhood Mexican eatery with patio seating as well as indoor seating. Takeout is available as well. They have daily specials and on Sundays, it's cheaper torta. We got chips and salsa to start and then I ordered the wet chili verde burrito while my friend got the fajitas. The food was filling and hearty. My burrito came with rice and beans inside, while the fajitas had the rice and beans on the side along with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. We both had leftovers for the following day. There wasn't a ton of meat in the burrito but a generous amount of salsa.

I’m writing an update after not visiting in seven years, and a lot has changed. The front area has been renovated to include bar seating, while there’s still a cozy dining room at the back. The patio has been covered and features new seating. Unfortunately, parking is still quite a hassle. I deducted a star because they removed my favorite pescado ranchero from the menu. However, everything is still as delicious as ever. Prices have increased, but that seems to be the trend everywhere nowadays.
During my first visit to LA, we stopped by this restaurant. It’s easy to miss if you’re not careful, but this cozy spot is bursting with flavor and serves authentic cuisine. Our server was outstanding—he was very informative and helpful with all our questions. This will definitely be our go-to place! The food is absolutely fantastic!
Excellent food, wonderful atmosphere, and outstanding service! My family was looking for a place to enjoy tacos, and this restaurant offered safe parking, a clean environment, and a lovely ambiance. The waiter was very friendly, and there was an extensive menu to choose from. The portion sizes were generous and delicious.
The food here is excellent! It's traditional and delicious. I highly recommend the shrimp enchiladas and carnitas tacos. It gets crowded during lunch, but it's definitely worth it.

I was in the area for a birthday party and arrived a bit early, so I decided to stop by and try this place. I ordered the menudo, and it was good, along with a michelada.
Costumer service (cashier) needs improvement but the Food is really Good. 5 Stars to the food..
