Location is lovely in the Black Forest. We sat outside and the surrounding flowers trees were very scenic. This restaurant is a short drive from Titisee, which is teeming with tourists, however the restaurant is well separated from this. The food was authentic and...delicious. The portions were huge and while we're great eaters, we couldn't get through everything. I had the sausage sauerkraut and... YUM! It also came with a giant serve of delicious, smooth, buttery mashed potato. My wife had the Rouladen. It was good too. It came with a giant serving of spaetzle and access to the salad bar. If you 're on holiday around Titisee-Neustadt and looking for restaurants that serve rustic home-made food instead of the standard tourist fare, this is definitely worth the detour. Detour because although it 's only 5-6 km away from the lake in Titisee, it 's rather hard to find....First of all, don 't use the address provided by Trip Advisor, but the one indicated on the restaurant 's site. However, in case your navsat sends you to an old derelict house and there 's no restaurant in sight, keep driving ahead through the woods for another 1,5 km because, yes, the place is kind of remote. We visited this beautiful restaurant whilst on holiday in Titisee in July. It's only about 6 minutes from Titisee but we did actually get lost trying to find it.: But it was well worth the trip. Everything was perfect, from the beauty of the location,...to the welcome and the wonderful food. These were definitely the best meals that we ate during our 2 week break. It's not tourist food, everything is home-made and delicious. Dogs are welcome and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.I highly recommend this restaurant for fantastic traditional German food in a stunning location.
Ich war am Nachmittag dort, also war anscheinend nicht die volle Speisekarte verfügbar. Allerdings ist eure eingeschränkte Speisekarte riesig. Etwa 25 Gerichte, darunter viele wirklich gute gekochte Optionen. Gutes Qualitätsessen und frisches Salatbuffet. Großer Außenbereich, obwohl es heute etwas kühl war. Es lohnt sich vorbeizuschauen.
