that is perhaps not the best gelato I have ever had (that was in italia,) but definitiw the best ice I had in Spain so far. we tried banan, chocolate, nocciola, fior de latte, celestial and mint chocolates. now, bananas and chocolates tasted as much as. the real real real banan and chocolate that our son was surprised and refused to eat it. that is not a bad thing that is contrary! modern children are so used to artificial aromen of the eiskräuter from the super market that they get angst before the real taste. no worries, we finished his ice for him and the mint chocolate. young, that was great! it had real chopped mint leaves in it! I never had such a pfefferminzcreme! gentle and refreshin...
Hands down best gelato I've ever had (and I've had plentyyyy! They don't use artificial flavouring nor colouring. You can taste the quality of the cream and natural flavours that they use. Simply the best! My husband has had gelato in Rome and this one...is by far the best he has ever had! We tried almost every flavour and every single one is amazing! You can't go wrong with any choice. But the Fior di latte, pistachio, dulce de leche, cappuccino....omg. Such a special little place and a gem of this beautiful little Catalan town. The owner is a nice Italian man who has been in Spain for a long time and speaks Catalan with a perfect accent. Pretty random though, finding the best gelato place...
no question the best gelato in L’Estartit. there are many possibilities in this large small village and we tried most of them, but it is not even close. pensato is the East winner. there is a fresh and natural taste that separates its helado. not so many tastes...options like some of the others, but much higher quality makes it. especially liked the xiocolata guaranja. super dark chocolate. Oh, and the people there are really friendly.
I saw the reviews and could not wait to try during our trip to L’Estartit. the Gentleman owner could not have been more helpful that I and my mother could taste all the different aromes before we selected our selection that was so friendly! there is a good choice of aromen and it is a high quality gelato. they just taste all divine, it is a hard choice to choose only one! I would certainly recommend giving this place an attempt!

This is such super yummy ice cream! I had the dulce de leche, which was amazing, as was my son's chocolate. It's homemade with no artificial colour's or flavours and organic milk, which is a major plus point for me. They also do lactose free...options. They have a few seats outside too so you can chill and watch the world go by as you eat your delicious gelato. Highly recommend!
Ce sont certainement et de loin les meilleures glaces que j'ai jamais mangé !! Je retourne tous les ans à l'estartit et je ne peux pas en passer !! Que des saveurs naturelles, contrairement aux autres glaciers, super bien travaillées bref un vrai artisan !! Et l'accueil est toujours sympathique. Je recommande sans hésitation !!!
Fantastic ice cream, made on site in small batches by Toni. We particularly liked the Sicilian lemon which is lactose free. Best ice cream this side of Rome!
Lovely clean place, lots of wonderful flavours to choose from. Very tasty. The chocolate is the best!
