This restaurant not only doesn't have many vegetarian items, their staff was misinformed and, worse, didn't care to obtain accurate information when asked. You can go almost anywhere and ask for a salad without cheese and the salad here was really oily. The hummus wasn't great and when I asked to substitute cut vegetable for the pita since I'm gluten-free, the server told me substitutions weren't possible and scoffed when I asked that the pitas be served on the side (and brought the hummus on the same plate as the pitas anyway...clearly did not care one bit about allergies) and then charged me $6 for my side of cucumbers (which were also soaked in oil). If someone was visiting Tarpon Springs for the first time, I would tell them they HAVE to visit Hellas. Not only is it a restaurant, but they also have a bakery with tons of authentic Greek desserts and pastries! My family is from Greece, (and of course, nothing compares to my grandmas cooking BUT they do come really really close! This is some of the best Greek food I’ve had that hasn’t been made by grandma! I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant as well. Even though they stay busy, they still give friendly fast service- so don’t let the crowds put you off! This place is exceptional! Heather was a phenomenal server and provided excellent service and tons of recommendations to us since we were visiting from Maryland. I could not recommend the spanakopita combo more. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread and also ordered a veggie pita. The desserts were scrumptious and very reasonably priced. I would love to come back to visit this place! Be sure to check it out! Update… I went back 48 hours later. James was our server and was also phenomenal. We tried four new items from the menu and they were equally as good. Heather stopped by to see how our trip to St. Pete was too! Incredibly good Greek food. We've been going there for many years and never been disappointed with either the food or the service. I've been all over the country and never had better Greek food than this. It's truly in a class by itself. The Moussaka is my favorite and highly recommended. Good hummus delicious black olives (which is a side item) easy substitutions on anything. Just ask for anything... salads Olives just ask for no cheese, very Accommodating excellent food delicious clean great service, they are happy to put together what you want. An elegant place with a down to earth atmosphere. We tried the broiled octopus which was absolutely delicious! We also tried the fried calamari, the gyros, the baklava, the strawberry kōk and a mixed drink with Ouzo. The food was amazing and the service was great! My family and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tarpon Springs.
Lovely selection of fresh made Greek pastries! So hard to choose as they all look and taste so delicious! A must stop location when in Tarpon springs. Fast and friendly service and a fair price. Make sure to get one of their coffees to go with your pastry also.

The gyros are always fantastic and well prepared. My son had the lamb kebobs and he said they were amazing. They also have a bakery of yummy treats. Our waiter was extremely nice. Can't forget the flaming cheese!
