Now, with all due respect, the Chinese fold may know how to cook a great Peking...Duck, but they have absolutely no idea how to cook fish and chips! On our last (and I emphasise LAST) order you could almost wring out a cup-full of oil from the fish. The fried calamari rings were inedible and thrown in the bin. The chips were barely acceptable but hey! they buy them pre cut and frozen and only have to stick them in hot oil!! The fish lacked flavor and had soggy batter, despite our request for it to be grilled. The chips were an unnatural bright yellow color and had a strange taste, most likely due to being cooked in old oil. They were so bad that they were impossible to eat. The new owners were friendly, but the restaurant used to be much busier and more successful in the past. It is now uncommon to see anyone in the shop.
sharkys is one of those places that has been around for years and everyone just knows that they have great fish n chips.The staff are always friendly and if you order potato cakes you will always find extra when you get home.Menu is varied - can grill or fry your fish, large selection of menu items.You can phone your orders in and pick up for even faster service.Highly recommended :)
Sharkys has been around forever. It is reliable and friendly. The food is cooked well. The shop is take-away only. One thing I like is there is no fru fru stuff. There's no quinoa or "twice cooked potato construction" or whatever the latest food fad is. Just fish and chips. They also always get your order right, which can't be said for many take-away places.

This has been our first choice for fish and chips for more years than I care to recall. Always great, ring and order or just walk in. Service is fast and friendly and there's always a crowd on Friday nights. Love it.
Sharky's has been around for years and serves excellent fish and chips, as well as a fish burger that is not only delicious but huge too. Great value for money and well worth the visit.. lots!!!!
A long history of providing good fish & chips, hamburgers, steak sandwiches etc. very efficient and reliable. Not much room to eat in so virtually all orders are for take away.
We often buy grilled fish for a quick easy dinner. They are fast, friendly and always yummy. The chips are always spot on too when we get them.

What u want from a fish and chip shop. Great fish, all cooked in clean oil and not inflated prices. Reliable and great service.
