The shrimp cocktail was delicious. The shrimp were all jumbo. 6 shrimp. If you like escargot, they make it for you there-slight hint of Pernod. Plenty of garlic and herbs. Not the best I've ever had but it was a decent attempt. The burger was definitely dreadful being overdone the bun was dry. The French fries were cold, soggy and tasted like frozen fries heated in an oven left out and then reheated in an attempt to save them. Awful for a restaurant of this caliper. The bartender knows how to make a very dry martini. I'd go back to try an entree. The blackened salmon sandwich was decent. But, alas, the same dreadful fries were served with it. Don't have the fries at lunch.
Our table of four ordered the magret/duck duo and the cassoulet; both were well received as being properly prepared, tasty and, for the duck, GONE. And, because of the substantial portions given in the cassoulet, was enough to take home for dinner another night (ask for an extra service plate, as the casserole bowl was hard to maneuver bite sized portions out of). Klee pinot noir was a good choice to accompany both entrees. A bonus surprise was the excellent chanteuse and guitar duo, who took requests. Don't skip the soufflé for dessert yummy!
Great service! Awesome food. This has been one of my favorite placed for good dining since I moved to Oak Park more than 20 years ago. Last night, the steak fries was perfect medium was truly medium! And the lobster salad, delightful nice chunks oflobster, over generous slices of mandarin orange and grapefruit, all coming together nicely. Wonderful!
My wife had the duck which was very tough. Not worth ordering. The singer and guitar player were much to load for the size of the room. Almost impossible to have any sort of conversation with 3 other people at the table.

Probably my favorite finer dining place in Oak Park. The bar is a great place to grab a solo meal as well. Do yourself a favor and get the mousse.
If yu can 't visit Rick 's in Casablanca, this is the alternative (although we all know the movie was shot on the back lot in Los Angeles)!!!
Best restaurant we’ve eaten at in Oak Park. Excellent food and service. Friendly staff and we had a lovely time.
Excellent in every way. Never rushed or hurried. We had a great time, service was excellent.
