I have visited this alm/restaurant on a few occasions with friends since it opened as we visit this area 3 or 4 times a year. The decor is lovely and a modern take on the alpine wood theme with modern quirky furniture and with great views out of the windows across the fabulous Austrian alps. The roof opens up to expose the sky. Fabulous on lovely sunny days. The staff however are hit and miss. Some times we have visited and the staff have been very helpful and friendly, other times like today they were very non plussed! We had lunch followed by coffee and I asked for my latte macchiato to be served very hot and if they could possibly warm the glass beforehand to aid this. When it arrived it...
A great place, fab atmosphere and terrific music with live DJ's and musicians. Food also reliably simple, but in a very appealing and tasty way. Perfect for the fantastic location.But.....The reservation system and organisation can be shambolic. We have made reservations days, and in one case weeks in advance, only to be disappointed when we arrive and find our table is not available. As always, the staff try hard to accommodate us, but it can take the edge off of an otherwise terrific experience.Be prepared to stand around waiting for your table!
Mamma Thresl is relatively new restaurant. Made in modern style it looks nice. We were on Thursday when they have BBQ evening and it was excellent. The choice of sea food and meat was very good. Wine was also very good (Cabernet Sauvignon). I would just prefer that they offer also salad bar instead of mix salad they bring to all guests. The only bad side is that the (disco) music becomes too loud later in the evening and suddenly the whole atmosphere looks like apres ski bar. Service was very slow and inefficient.
I saw some places in the world with many big restaurants. But in this world of me comes the best steak you can eat from Mamathresl Leogang. Some of these restaurants I have visited all over the world have been strong for decades, but this is my favorite newcomer to the meat scene. Mom! Thresl serve an amazing fillet steak. This exceptional, melting steak, cooked over a grill, has incomparable sweetness and tenderness. The service in Mama Thresl is excellent, great people and the atmosphere you might want.

Wir waren im Mama Thresl in der Küche an einem Grillabend mit Selbstbedienung, bei dem Sie für 25€ pro Person Fleisch und Beilagen essen können, Getränke sind nicht inbegriffen. Geschäftsbesuch. Essen und Atmosphäre waren wunderbar. Das Personal an der Bar hat mich jedoch wirklich enttäuscht. Arrogant und wenig hilfsbereit! Ich dachte, es wäre mir zuzuschreiben, aber den meisten anderen Männern in der Gruppe ging es genauso. Trotz der hohen Qualität des Essens würde ich Mama Thresis nicht empfehlen.
Die Einheimischen fragen nach Essen, sie empfehlen dieses Restaurant als das beste und sie haben zu 100% recht! Wirklich gute Dekoration und großartiges Essen und Service! Ich habe den besten Burger meines Lebens gegessen! Die Preise sind im Vergleich zur Qualität und dem Service sehr gut!
