Unfortunately, we were seated at a table in the lobby, which resulted in a chilly draft every time the door opened for staff or other diners. While this was not the most comfortable location, I assume the restaurant was trying to accommodate as many customers as possible while following social distancing guidelines.
I was disappointed by the lack of Covid awareness at the restaurant. We were not prompted to sanitize our hands at any point, despite the NHS app check-in being conveniently located right next to our table. We waited a long time for our food to arrive. I had only made it halfway through my soup when the waitress brought out our main courses. She quickly placed the plates on the table and left. My husband had to rush through his first course so that his fish and chips wouldn't get cold. When I started on my main course, I realized that it was missing avocado, even though it was supposed to be included. I had to ask the waitress to bring me some.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. It was a special evening for us as we were celebrating our anniversary, and we feel that the service really spoiled the occasion.
Very busy but only waited a short while to be shown to our table for 9 seen straight away drinks order taken and served. Gave us time to catch up then order taken for starters and main. Was not in a rush so starters served within a suitable time. Staff in attendance checking if we required anything. Wasnt rushed and mains served about right after time for a drink and chat and playing silly Xmas Games family tradition. Food was good few had desserts rest of us various coffees. Price very reasonable Mum and Dads treat thanks to all at Sir Henry's and Merry Christmas.
As for the food, it was decent but nothing exceptional. Given the prices, we expected something a bit more refined or of higher quality, as some dishes felt rather basic. The outdoor tables had umbrellas, which were helpful, but the atmosphere was undermined by loud music that felt more suited for a bar or club, which could be overwhelming for those looking to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, it wasn’t a fantastic experience, and I don’t think we’ll be returning.

Very nice pub, and most importantly very clean. We was served by a girl called Sasha she was very friendly and her customer service was of a high standard. We asked her about cocktails which she took her time to suggest some good cocktails for us. All staff were very friendly which was nice compared to other pubs. Food was very fresh and very tasty. Will definitely be returning to this pub. Highly recommend !!!
There were a few minor issues, but they were resolved quickly. It's great to see a place staffed by local young people who are making an effort and seem to take their customer service training seriously. However, the coffee was quite disappointing, and the main receptionist could have made more of an effort to smile, especially considering that the rest of the staff appeared to be doing their best.
The service was outstanding. We chose to dine outside, and our drink and meal orders were taken promptly and served at our table without delay. The tables of departing guests were cleared immediately. The food was excellent, except for a runny egg, which was replaced faster than the hen could lay it. Highly recommended!
It was an amazing experience to have dinner at a place older than the U.S. Once I got over the nostalgia. The food was cooked to perfection, delicious and the price is good. Service was great and wonderful. Strongly recommend it!

I had the salmon linguine and the creme brulee and my partner had the creamy mushroom pasta. All of it was so good. The sauce to my seafood pasta was so good I didn't want it to end. Recommend!
