Over rated and over priced! Being new to Hereford and with the weather so nice we decided to eat out on a Saturday evening. I telephoned the venue to book a table for 4 and requested a table on the terrace overlooking the river. The guy I spoke to confirmed this would not be a problem at all. On arrival the girl said they don 't reserve tables it 's first come first served, not what I was told when booked. Then I spotted a table of 8 with a reserved note on it but nothing for us! We eventually found a table inside and ordered 3 burgers (the fries we 're extra) and what was described as steak and chips total cost £72! Booked for Sunday lunch at 1.30 arrived in the hope of enjoying some autumn sunshine out on the balcony first and thought we would share a bottle of wine , this turned out to be a difficult task for the young barman who Clearly needed a bit more training , we asked him for a wine list only to be shown 1 bottle of wine from the fridge behind him and told us that was it ! We ordered 1 glass of wine at £7.50 ! Once shown to our table we discovered a wine list !!! When we told a server they just said ok I see ! Our 58 wedding anniversary the Black lion opposite had been recommended , however they don’t serve food on a Monday , so decided to give the Left Bank a try , and what a mistake that was . I arrived at the bar to be told card only no cash, we ordered 2 meals after a hour my meal arrived with no fries, the wife inquired about her meal and received a shrug of the shoulders, her meal arrived 20 minutes later along with my fries , her steak was 50% fat and as tuff as old boots, anyone thinking of using this place should think again as it wasn’t just us that were complaining, and we’ve since heard of many people who have received exactly the same overpriced inedible food and service. Called in with a friend for the Sunday carvery. This is about the third 'restaurant ' I 've been to recently where they try to pass off deep fried boiled potatoes as roast potatoes. They look like large chips and taste the same. I suppose it 's ok if you 're producing vegan potatoes but they must think people are daft if they think these resemble a delicious, roast in meat fat and juices, flavourful roast potato. Shame as I think there is nothing to beat them. There was an adequate selection of vegetables, my friends lamb contained some gristle and the cauliflower was under cooked with too little sauce. My daughter booked two days ahead and had to leave her card details. We were met at the Koffe pot entrance and told that on a Bank Holiday our booking in advance meant nothing as people will just sit in reserved places anyway. Once we found a table outside and upstairs we were told it was a 45 min wait for food unless it was carvery. We ordered anyway, and then a table waitress came to take more drinks orders. She returned several minutes later to announce she couldn't take our drinks order after all, only if we were carvery!! I laughed at this point. When the food arrived it wasn't too bad but I agree, it's overpriced. Great location but that's it.
Great potential, but no enthusiasm from the staff. The majority of the servers looked uninterested and dishevelled. One bizarre occasion, both my wife and I witnessed a young male server (the one with the mullet) pick food from a plate being delivered by one of his female colleagues to the inside restaurant in the courtyard, proceed to stuff it in his mouth and laugh. Went to order food at 20.30 to be told the kitchen staff had left, this despite the menu stating last orders were at 20.45. On the whole this was a disappointing experience in what is a great setting.
Not a great experience. Staff had no enthusiasm at all! We ordered drinks cakes. The glasses were disgustingly dirty so were the cups for the coffee! Coffee cups were brown on the outside-looked like they needed a good scrub! Obviously happens because of the dishwasher but how you would pour a drink into a glass think it is acceptable to have someone else's lip marks food around the top of the glass is unbelievable! Fortunately the cakes were delicious! such a shame as this has really put us off returning.
Cannot fault the Carvery!! Me and my partner have been to a lot of places in and around Hereford for a carvery and this one is the best!! We recently came with family for Father’s Day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! They were pleasantly surprised they could have some of each of the meats (and there was 4 to choose from! highly recommend

Me and my friend came here for dinner both with allergies. The staff were so understanding and Henry the chef went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing meal. Absolutely fabaglasted by the service and will definately be coming again. Thank you so much Henry for being so understanding and looking after us!
Kids went to the left bank for their Prom. Cost £42 for basically a few sandwiches and crisps. Many of the kids were left hungry and went to McDonalds.
