I have been to Heritage Tavern 5-6 times and each time has been wonderful. Most recently, I went during Restaurant Week and enjoyed the summer corn soup, cocktails, pork dish, and dessert. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic. I also went for brunch with friends and our kids, and the food was amazing. The server was accommodating and great with the kids. I always recommend Heritage Tavern to out of town visitors because they have a variety of delicious food options beyond pork. I can't wait to try the Potato Gnocchi on my next visit. I decided to dine at Heritage Tavern in this bustling dining area, mainly because it opens early and offers a fun menu. I indulged in the asparagus toast with foie gras and shaved truffles, which was decadent, and the Chefs Cut Steak with sautéed mushrooms and spinach with potato croquettes. Pairing the meal with a Penley Estate Cab Franc from Coonawara, Australia was a perfect choice as the acidic wine complemented the rich flavors of the dishes. This area is full of little eateries. I have chosen Heritage Tavern for my dinner, partly because it’s open early, partly because it has a fun menu. The Penley Estate Cab Franc, Coonawara, Australia, was completely necessary to both rich courses. The decadent food needed the acidic wine. So delicious. The service and management staff were attentive and efficient. A great meal.
I wanted to have a special birthday meal in Madison at a new restaurant. After trying a few nearby restaurants with long wait times, my group discovered Heritage Tavern. Despite its appearance as a bar, we found the menu to be unique and were seated right away. The meal, wine, and stout port were all delicious. I was able to have a wonderful birthday dinner at a new spot. We will definitely be returning to Heritage Tavern next time we are in downtown Madison.

I had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the burger I had was one of the best I've ever tasted. The Bloody Mary with a beer chaser was superb, and the bacon was the best I've ever had. Overall, it was quite the memorable experience.
We were able to snag a last-minute table for two on a Saturday night. The ambiance at the restaurant was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. The Bouillabaisse was particularly amazing! We also highly recommend trying the 131 Bourbon Street and Ancho Lefti cocktails.
Brunch is back! Service is amazing, and they didn't shy around from us. We even came with our 3 kids all under the age of 3. Be sure to order the deviled eggs and the cinnamon roll....it has ham inside! Delish!
The food was fantastic. I started with the bar board which had a variety of cheeses, crackers, jams, and more. For dinner, I ordered the family-style pork which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved it. My family and I celebrated my son's college graduation at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend it.
I'm not sure why I don't visit this restaurant more frequently. It's always a fantastic experience.
