Went there with a friend who lives in the neighbourhood. Heuriger are a very traditional type of Austrian restaurant, somewhere between a buffet and a traditional dining establishment. You can order from the fixed menu or simply walk in and order what you like out...of the counter, which makes it a lot more flexible. For specific dishes (ham hocks, for instance) the menu even details how long you will have to wait as everything is made fresh to order. Although the buffet you expect at a Viennise Heuriger was smaller than average, the food was exceptionally good. Some orders, like "Grammel Knödel" (filled potatoe dumplings) take min to prepare, the wait is worth it. And anyways, you shouldn't go to a Heuriger to...just quickly eat, but to sit, drink wine and enjoy your company.
We ordered two Schnitzels a chicken and a pork one- both delicious. Had to pack most of it to go, because we couldn’t eat it up. There is a selection of side dishes at the bar. The beer and apple juice were also great
