Spend my birthday dinner at Spätrot. The evening was warm and we could sit outside. The ambience is something between a "Heuriger" and a restaurant. The menu is definitely more like one in a restaurant. No self-service, no lard, but fine meals and slow cooking. We had black pudding as a starter and afterwards a duck. The quality was very good, seasoning perfect. The serving size was small to medium. In the internet you will find many reviews complaining about bad service and long waiting times. Thank you for the amazing experience on the 20th of December. That was one of the most amazing tasting experiences in my whole life. The atmosphere, the interior, the wine, the masterpieces on the plates, the top class service - thank you for everything. I still remember the taste of truffles, which were the best i ever had, the speck, the fish (i cant remember the name ;-) the veal... i was speechless about the tastes and about the quality of service we received. I went to the restaurant following a recommendation from the hotel, and it was such a good choice at all. The inside decoration and furniture are very basic, and the food is even more basic.First of all they don't have beer without alcohol, and that shouldn't be such an extravagant requestThen to eat I got three breaded chicken legs without ANYTHING else on the plate (just figure out kind of KFC but on a real plate) and as a side I got a small dish with cold potato salad.Ok, it wasn't terribly pricey, but still ... quite a sad dinnerBtw, the service was kind . at least

We were a group of 8 and enjoyed a very nice evening at this lovely place. We found the food (deep fried chicken, oven roasted pork and Käsenocken) was very good. Service was efficient and friendly and we liked the wine recommendations. Too bad that...I had no space left for dessert, the Topfenstrudel looked delicious. And judging from the gentleman at the next table who ate 2 portions of it, it must have been delicious. I won't skip dessert on my next visit.
Mit frischen Bio-Produkten und dem Weingut strömen die Einheimischen hierher, um eine traditionelle Mahlzeit zu genießen. Wir hatten das Glück, Gastgeber zu haben, die den Ort gut kannten. Das Essen war großartig, der Service ausgezeichnet und die Umgebung angenehm, obwohl es gerade, als wir fertig waren, zu schütten begann. Ein vorbeiziehendes Gewitter.
it was our first time in this restaurant and we were very satisfied. tasty dishes of traditional Austrian cuisine; beautiful atmosphere (we sat outside under a large grape tree); good wine; friendly service (also speak English). highly recommended!
Outstanding Heurigen-Food with a twist, freshly prepared (you might have to wait if the restaurant is crowded). Very good wins, especially the red wines (if you like lighter red wines). Wonderful outside seating.

We came late but received as friends of the House. The food and wine was the best and value for money. The service was very good and the cook came to our table and explaned the food.
Good food and simple. Real Austrian grub at very good prices. Try the local wine also. You can eat at lots of tables in a courtyard so please pick when you arrive
