Went to Hide for the 6 course tasting menu as an early birthday present. Course 1 Ox Cheek donut with damson jam. Course 2 milk bread made from 2 types of dough, one half had charcoal and was served with 2 types of butter (one smoked and the other chive). Course 3 butter basted North Sea halibut with a reduction and mini pickled onions and porcini mushrooms. Course 4 Guinea fowl with creamed and chargrilled sweetcorn and shaved truffle. On to the sweets: Course 5 A white chocolate and apple cheesecake on a smoked toffee biscuit base Course 6 A mini chocolate tart with a maple and pecan filling.
