Food arrives packaged well, with all the plastic utensils and condiments included. If you have a very large order, they label some of the containers. I started ordering for delivery pretty regularly for the past 2 months. One time, early on, they messed up my order and delivered a calzone when I ordered a pizza, but since then, it's been fine. The delivery guys are always nice, arrives when promised. When I call, they have my address on file (I guess they can tell by the tel#? so that's always convenient. The pizza is good, I get plain. my parents love this place and order there all the time. unfortunately that means i 'm forced to eat it when I go to visit. the chicken tenders are overdone and dry. the salad dressings are awful (specifically the honey mustard that looks like slime). the tuna panini was DRY. the chopped cobb salad was not chopped at all. I asked to sub cheddar instead of blue cheese. they send cheddar sauce. actual liquid cheese. for a salad. their fries are okay which is why they got two stars instead of one. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and it was quite disappointing. The sauce had a bitter taste and there was way too much of it, which made the pizza soggy. To make matters worse, they used slices of deli mozzarella cheese that hardened by the time I got home and slid right off the overly saucy pizza when I tried to pick it up. I also asked for onions on my pizza, but instead of sliced onions on top, they put large chunks of chopped onions beneath the cheese on top of the sauce. I definitely won’t be returning.
I just ordered delivery. Amazing service, quick spend, and great food! I used to not prefer them about 2 years ago but for the past 3 months they are better than anyone in Edison/highland/New Brunswick. You order a cheese steak and it comes in 2 separate boxes huge! It looks like you get 2 for the price of one! I will not order from any other spot around here for now on. Good job highland pizza! You have a regular customer now
Highland Pizza has great slices. Their Garlic Knots are awesome. I had a housemate from Milan, Italy, and she loved this place. You can't get a better endorsement than that. The Grandma slices are awesome. Sometimes I get a cheesesteak or cold sub. Chico makes the best! I have been a customer here for 27 years now, and these guys stayed open long hours right through the pandemic. Five Stars any day.
I am new to town so still exploring the pizza scene. Highland Pizza was pretty good. We have been there once and ordered takeout another time. The white pizza was my favorite. This is the worst pizza i have ever had Frozen pizza tastes better than this pizza tastes like water no salt no garlic no flavor and to top it off it was soggy tasteless and the worst ever made on this planet.
