Delicious food at great prices, and the staff is incredibly friendly! We tried the three-piece fish, a salad with chicken, two pieces of fried chicken, onion rings, and coleslaw, and everything was fantastic. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a delightful breading that made it incredibly tender. The fried chicken had a nice flavor, but it was a bit too spicy for my liking, as I’m not a fan of spicy food. However, the chicken on the salad was not spicy at all, made from their chicken tenders, which were just right. Overall, I highly recommend Highway Fried Chicken and Seafood. It’s a fantastic addition to the Jefferson area, and I will definitely be back! Thank you!
The atmosphere of a restaurant may not be important to some, but for me, it matters a lot—especially when it comes to the presentation of the food and the prices. While the prices can be reasonable, you definitely won't leave satisfied if you're hungry, as the portions are quite small. I ordered the largest fried platter for myself and my daughter, along with eight wings, but I didn't even eat the wings because the portions were too small. For $21, it felt overpriced; something definitely needs to be adjusted.
What’s the fuss all about? The fried chicken had a foul smell, which means it wasn’t properly cleaned and marinated. The hot wings were tiny and soggy and really didn’t taste good. Go to Popeye’s instead. Nothing really special about this place and the staff was kind of rude.
I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and it exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find well-seasoned chicken strips, but these were both fresh and delicious! The seasoned fries were also quite tasty. I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu!

It's a hidden gem, just a little hole in the wall, but they serve THE BEST fried shrimp, catfish, and chicken. I rated the atmosphere a 5 because the interior isn't much to look at, but the food deserves a perfect 10!
Not a huge fan of the chicken fingers, but the spicy fried chicken is pretty delicious (and the biscuit). You'll stink like fried chicken if you wait inside too long, but I guess that is a good thing.
I ordered burger combo fries drink) chicken strips and an a drink. Got the food and only 1 drink. Combo drink was not delivered. I was at Essence and exhausted. Sure needed that drink.
Love the sweet biscuit with the large pieces of breast!! Chicken is not over seasoned! There fries are okay.
