Be careful when ordering “viande marinée”! Officially, a “viande marinée “ is a meat that has been marinated for a time with spices and sauce, whereas, apparently here, as I was told by the chef, it’s just plain cooked meat (to which I add has no taste! and to which you may add a starched gravy to accompany it! I guess cooking terms have been reviewed to lower standards and so has the taste and flavor!!! But on a positive side, try the Gratin Dauphinois, really good!!!
This was our first visit to this chain of restaurants. Just what we needed after 5 hours on the motorway. The manager was friendly and it’s nice to have a plate of simple food cooked to order. We had entrecôtes with fresh green beans ratatouille. It was tasty and came with a choice of sauce. We paid much more in Cannes and the meat was much better here. Both the waitresses we met were charming. Would recommend.
Going Back from the South of France to Paris we decided to stop for lunch. We were very pleased to see that this was a real restaurant kind of a steak house. The food was very good and the service was great. My wife had the kebab and I had the steak tartar (the big one). We enjoyed our stop so different from our rest stops in the US and even from the regular french rest stops.
Third attempt at a lunch stop due to service stations being very crowded at lunchtime. Attentive staff and despite being busy, were warned there was a 15min wait for service on arrival. Food was a good standard, and staff ensured we had an enjoyable meal and a refreshing break from the road. Would certainly use again.
