My husband and I chose His and Hers BBQ to cater our wedding, and we were thoroughly impressed. We had visited their restaurant once before for dinner, which was delicious, but they truly exceeded our expectations on our wedding day. Carrie was incredibly responsive and helpful, even inviting us in for a tasting prior to the event. During the tasting, her husband was there to assist us with pricing and details, and he was extremely accommodating. Our wedding guests raved about the food and claimed it was the best brisket they had ever tasted. Even the kids enjoyed it! The peach cobbler and banana pudding were hands down the best thing we got!! And I’m not typically a banana pudding type person. The ultimate platter was the perfect size for me and my husband to split. The pork was melt in your mouth and the meat came right off the bone for the ribs. All that being said the flavor didn’t seem the best to me; particularly for the brisket and ribs. The fries were super salty, and it was hard to taste a difference between the regular and spicy bbq sauces. We heard they do have new owners so maybe the recipe changed a bit.
This is easily some of the best BBQ in the area. Everything is cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was incredibly tender and moist. The fries are freshly cut and fried in-house, and the mac and cheese is excellent, as is the rest of the meat. The corn nuggets were sweet and perfectly fried! The desserts are fantastic too. The only meat I found a bit dry was the pork steak I tried, but that was just one time. Overall, a great experience!
The BBQ here is incredibly tender and doesn't require a knife to enjoy. I ordered the Ultimate Platter, which included ribs, pork steak, and brisket. While everything was delicious, I would definitely come back for the brisket—the fat added just the right amount of juiciness. Since the change in ownership, the new management has shifted their focus to the bourbon bar, which is understandable. However, the quality of the food has declined significantly, while prices have increased. It used to be my favorite BBQ spot in the area, but I can no longer say that. The service is decent, and the restaurant is clean.
The BBQ ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and brisket were all incredibly delicious and bursting with flavor. The same can be said for the beans, mac and cheese, and green beans. This is the best BBQ I've ever had in the St. Louis area, and it has become my new go-to spot for BBQ.
We visited as part of a group tour, and the food was incredible! It was the best barbecue I've ever tasted. The service was friendly and quick, which allowed us to make our flights on time. I can't recommend this place enough!
