Hochstein Hutte - Tisch reservieren

The Trip up to the Hochstein Hütte is an odyssey - a progressively more and more narrow, winding road through tiny villages, in and then above the clouds, through fields with cute, shaggy cows that stop chewing to size you up and then return to chewing. After the toll gate (EUR 7 but worth every penny) the road becomes even more narrow until finally you reach a parking lot from where it's just a short 5 - 8 minute walk to the Hochsteinhütte. We were here for Saturday lunch today. The service was fast and friendly, the menu varied, the food delicious and the portions generous. We had the spinach dumplings 'Spinatknödel' from the daily specials board and they were excellent and creatively presented. The panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountains are wonderful.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen am Samstag hier. Der Service war schnell und freundlich, die Speisekarte vielfältig, das Essen köstlich und die Portionen großzügig. Wir hatten die Spinatknödel vom Tagesangebot und sie waren ausgezeichnet und kreativ. Panoramablick... die umliegenden Täler und Berge sind wunderbar.

Schöner Ort, um nach einem Spaziergang in den Bergen zu essen. Das Essen ist Standard für Österreich: Siegerschnitzel, Schweinefleisch mit Sauce. Viel Fleisch und Fett, aber meinem Mann hat es gefallen. Ich hatte einen Salat mit gegrilltem Hühnchen. Die Preise sind in Ordnung.

Ein ausgezeichneter Standort mit 360-Grad-Blick über die Dolomiten und die Tauern. Das Essen ist nicht zu teuer, aber von sehr hoher Qualität.
