Unfortunately, I now live in Las Vegas which leaves me across the continent from the Long Island diners that I grew up with. This is the diner you want. They are as skilled at making pot roast as they are Italian specialties. Everything is house made. The ingredients are fresh and top notch. I bring my mom here and she loves it. Order a dinner special and you get soup, salad, entree and dessert. All at a reasonable price. I eat the soup salad and bread and pick at my entree. I take home the rest of my entree and dessert. The amount of food would not matter if it wasn’t delicious and this food is delicious. The service is professional and quick but never rushed. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere with subtle Christmas decorations. Our server was quick, but difficult to understand due to speaking quickly. However, he was polite and helpful with menu questions. The restaurant was unexpectedly busy on a Thursday night, but we were seated promptly. Unfortunately, the food I ordered, The Greek Chicken Wrap, was not appetizing and the potato salad tasted stale. After eating, I became sick within 20 minutes. The meal was not worth the $17 price. I visited this restaurant with my mother and mother-in-law, and we all loved it. They both ordered the pancakes and said they were perfectly made. I tried the old-fashioned French toast and thought it was delicious. The service was excellent, with the waitress checking on us frequently even though it was busy. My Wife and I used to come here regularly, good food, nice size portions and reasonably priced. Owners were very nice and the wait staff was great. We just recieved a delivery from Uber Eats which the delivery itself was excellent, but the food and portions were not what they used to be! We certainly paid enough! I haven't been here in a while and always like to stop in when i travel to Long Island. I like the renovated look. I got eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. I always ask for the hashbrowns well done because they tend to be undercooked. I ate the potatoes off the top. The staff was really nice and kept refilling my coffee. I miss diners. We don't have anything like this near me.
I really enjoy this diner. The food is excellent quality, especially the beef brisket sandwich which was delicious. The apple pie was a wonderful dessert. The decor is modern but still cozy.
