We had a last-minute change of plans due to a flight cancellation and ended up needing emergency accommodation for one night. Holiday Inn was very accommodating and definitely calmed a stressful situation. We got in considerably earlier than expected after a long flight from Australia plagued with delays. They kindly arranged an early check in, provided parking for a small fee and the front desk staff were very helpful suggesting places nearby for food and refreshment. I rarely write a negative review without giving the management a chance to rectify the situation. I did try to get help with dirty sheets, black spots, on both sides of my bed. The housecleaning supervisor said it was my fault since they check the sheets daily. I explained I traveled solo this time, and slept on one side of the bed, so how was there spots on both sides of the bed? The front staff said we will not offer you any type of compensation, as it was not our responsibility. Wow, left another message on their website which was ignored. For the time I was here, it was a place to lay my head. The room was simple, it had no real bells or whistles. The fee for a car was ridiculous. A vehicle should be included in your room as it is already expensive. The desk people were very nice and helpful with my early morning check-out. They could get me cereals and yogurt. That was nice when I went about 3 hours before breakfast. They also helped me get an order on the road for the execution, as I had just arrived late on the island. All in all was a mostly clean room with a bed. If I were back in this area, I would stay here more than likely, as it was a decent location and a cheaper option. We stayed at Holiday Inn on the last day of our holiday in Kona, as we had to be near the airport. Our flight was delayed and Albert at the reception was very accommodating after check-out. He left us with privileges at their pool and at the amenities until we were back in the afternoon. It was a bit tricky to find, but worth the stay. The staff was very friendly. Rooms: It was a little loud that people walk around us. The rooms were clean and well stored. Walkability: Great shops on foot.

Good sized room with 2 queen beds, a sofa bed, and basic kitchen with a microwave. Tiled floor throughout, great after coming back from a swim. AC works well. No-water-saving-nonsense shower delivers. I'd rate it somewhere above a 3-star hotel. A bit expensive though. Parking costs extra and is a little hard to get to with a one-way back-alley type of street.
I was very happy with the hotel. The rooms were clean. Whenever we needed everything, we could contact the reception. Breakfast had very little variation, but it had what we needed. The staff were friendly, friendly and attentive. The hotel was less than five minutes walk to the sea. Rooms: 5/5
After we were in VRBO the last two times in Kona, we decided to try this hotel instead. I'm glad we made it, is in town and the rooms are very well appointed to the HIE standard. You have a great morning breakfast. The pool is a little small, but there is a hot tub. We will return.
Great staff. Everyone here treated us well. They were all friendly and very accommodating. All interactions were positive. Room was good, no complaints except it smelled of mold or an old kitchen sponge. Hence the 4/5 stars.

Used this hotel for our first night on the island. Came tired and left rested. Room was quiet and comfortable. Nice breakfast options in the morning. Very convenient to nearby shopping. Don't overlook the $10 parking fee.
Awful!! We just stayed last week. The ac was out in the room. It smelled like mold. The pull out sofa had crumbs in it. The safe didnt work. They gave us 3 towels for 5 people. Never again
