The experience was slightly tempered by the condescending nature of the female restaurant host when ordering hot beverages. Wow! Sunday lunch in The Nest for a special birthday (70th) party. Twelve in the party and we all had a brilliant time. The fabulous sunny weather meant that we sat out in the garden before and after our meal. The venue is great, with moden decor, and traditional panelling in the reception, Views over the Bristol Channel are lovely, especially on a sunny day. Following a previous disastrous dining experience at this restaurant, we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and booked into an afternoon tea. Huge mistake as this was even more expensive and worst than the first ! Given the competition for afternoon teas available locally, we were regretting fully that we chose this one. Unprofessional, non interested staff, limited choice of sandwiches and stale, run of the mill cakes. Table booked at 3 pm, we were still asking to be sat at 3.30 pm, although the restaurant was three quarters empty . What a wonderful experience, we had an excellent day. The Christmas meal could not be faulted in any way. Food was divine, staff friendly and attentive, atmosphere just perfect. We enjoyed every minute. BIG Thank you Holm House, take a bow! We returned home, well fed and happy. Will definitely consider booking again for next year, as it took all the stress out of slaving in the kitchen!

Visited the spa this afternoon for a massage Katie on reception was pleasant and professional, whilst my therapist Anita was friendly, skilled and very strong! I’ve had many treatments over the years in spas and hotels all over the world, and this was by far the best! Overall a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

She is wonderful and I highly recommend you visit her for a treatment there are so many to choose from. It would make a fabulous Birthday or Christmas present! Although it is very sad when a business has to close. I was very disappointed with the Spa. Due to Covid and a bereavment my £100 gift voucher had expired and they Wouldn’t honour it !!!! So unsympathetic……..
