Long long so long hand pulled noodles! Being new to Watertown, we decided to try this place which did not disappoint! First of all they have hand pulled noodles so we were super excited to try them! The restaurant is located in Watertown square and although it's not too big it has plenty of seating for small groups. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded. They have many options in their menu including Chinese burger which I have not seem before at other restaurants so I was curious and excited to order one. Recently moved to W town, looking for good Chinese food. This place is between 3 and 4 stars: good menu selection, including the handmade noodles and lamb dishes, pointing to NW China/ Xi 'an style. Good lunch specials and noodle/ rice plates. Portions are generous good value. The chicken wings were great, if not highly seasoned. At least they weren 't drowned in some goop! Order online and pickup is good. Only flaws: a) seasoning is toned down; b) a lamb dish with hand pulled noodles was very dry hardly any sauce and didn 't travel well, turned into a solid lump. I am a huge fan of the hand-pulled noodle dishes here, so I rarely try anything else, even though I know I should. My favorite is the hot oil stewed noodles—it's a simple dish, but it’s perfectly executed and feels more substantial than just its individual ingredients. It has a fantastic blend of garlic, chilies, and a hint of vinegar, along with wonderfully chewy noodles. I also really enjoy the cumin lamb noodles; they are packed with cumin flavor without being overwhelming. I’ve always received great service during my visits too.
My family usually likes ordering here. However earlier today my family ordered a few dishes for lunch, and one of them was made without fish even though it was supposed to have seafood. We called Home Taste, and the manager accused us of lying. Who accuses a customer of lying about their food being made wrong? He yelled and screamed, and told us ?don?t come here again, we don?t baby you!? It was completely unprofessional. The restaurant does not treat their customers with respect. Please don?t support this corrupt restaurant.

I am such a huge fan of the hand pulled noodle dishes that I rarely get anything else, although when I have it's been good. The hot oil seared noodles are the favorite a simple dish executed perfectly that is greater than the sum of its parts. Great flavor from garlic, chiles, and a touch of vinegar, plus beautiful chewy noodles. The cumin lamb noodles is the other favor. A ton of cumin flavor without being overpowering. I've always had very nice service here.
I don 't personally know what they put in their food here. But I saw multiple comments of no flavor . I kindof question this. A lot of Chinese food has a ton of the following: sugar, salt, and MSG. All these add significant flavor. I have no idea how much of these this restaurant uses. But I think no flavor is not a practically useful comment unless health is no concern.

Spicy hot oil seared noodles with chili sauce and bok chop (sic) were hand-pulled, long, toothy and delicious. House Mala pot was full of goodness and tasty bits, feeding two. Cumin lamb burger was a savory appetizer. Great service.

I had the best sandwich at home taste of Watertown! I have the Cumin Lambburger, the $5.58, it's amazing! A beautiful little sandwich on a homemade bread with fresh scalions and cilantro so fresh and tasty, I love this place!
