First time visiting here. The atmosphere is nice and simple, with plenty of warm woodwork and walls. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu has more the enough options to accommodate. I had the Gorgonzola Burger and my daughter had the special Fried Popcorn Shrimp, with sides. The burger was cooked as asked for, medium, and very good with plenty of toppings. The Fried Shrimp was actually listed as on the nights specials as an appetizer. My daughter wanted just a small meal so the waitress offered to add sides to it. Perfect! This restaurant is amazing! We stumbled upon it using Google Maps and were drawn in by the positive reviews. The food did not disappoint. My partner ordered the Seafood Platter with Clam Stuffing (a new experience for us), stuffed prawns, flounder, and bay scallops. Everything was incredibly delicious. I opted for the Kebab with mushroom gravy and salad (another new dish for us), and it was also excellent.
We walked in at 2:47pm Was told to sit wherever we like, wasn't given menus , then after 10 mins was asked what we would to drink after we received our drinks the waitress didn't even look in our direction we proceeded to wait an additional 40 minutesand still did not have our order taken. We put 5 dollars on the table to pay for our drinks and walked out no one said anythingto us. We left at 3:43pm.
So good! We found this place through Google Maps, reviews were good so we gave it a try. The food was excellent. My husband had Seafood Platter- clam stuffy (something new to us), stuffed shrimp, flounder Bay scallops. All was very tasty. I had veal with mushroom gravy and claer clam chowder (another new to us). Everything was excellent.

I have been dining at Homestead Restaurant for more than 20 years. The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is beautiful, rustic, and charmingly secluded. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This hidden gem is truly the best-kept secret in South County!
