This place is tucked away in the airport side of highway 14, basically in a commercial area of Sydney BC. Great staff, friendly, very pretty and easy going. The food, stopped in for breakfast. Tasted and looked like what your mom would cook you for breakfast if your mom could cook like this lady. Awesome. Easy to find, right beside Pedro RV and in the same building as a bottle Depot. The inside is kind of old school ranch land mess hall with wooden tables, wooden benches and chairs with some interesting artwork on the walls. Kind of nuce, back home in the farm kind of feel. All that is missing are checkered table cloths. The place is bright and spotless, always a good sign. Love this place.
I am just so pleased with the comfortable setting and friendly, efficient staff. But the food is the reason to return again and again. I have been three times since the management changed and it is just yummy. Between the delicious homemade soups, burgers, preserves and glorious desserts it is so hard to choose. Go. You will love it. Especially the homemade soft caramel treat when you leave!
Highly recommend the Homestead Burger and fries. Flavourful burger with properly fried house-made french fries. My partner's Eggs Benny was great as well: eggs poached to his liking and what tasted like house-made Hollandaise. The only let down was the "breakfast hash browns" which were chopped-up fries. Still tasty though! Sharply priced; a very good value. We'll be back.
Love this charming cafe! I try to go every time I'm in Sidney. Great breakfasts and burgers that could win awards. Love the waitress whom unfortunately I don't know her name. But she's very attentive and makes you feel at home. Any soups I've had over the years have been delicious. Always worth the trek over to the other side of the highway. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Having seen this was the only place in Sidney with 100% rating , we thought we'd try some home cooking . we both chose the days special - Beef dips with either chips ( we're english) or caesar salad , or Fish chowder . we had the chips as extra - totally unneccessary ; the two dips each were plenty tasty
eat breakfast or early lunch here......food always very good...excellent for roaside cafe breakfast are well worth money .may seem little expensive but ganerous portions.....service top notch....coffee always great...over all a good experience .car parking just outside front door.....a good hardy feed
Although located in an industrial park, this place more than makes up for it's location and simplistic decor by providing great food, service and value. Homestead Cafe's prices are surprisingly good considering quality of their offerings. Their breakfasts may just be the best in Sidney.
There are several excellent breakfast places in Sidney and this is one of the best. Simple, lots to eat, good prices, well presented and friendly staff. Stopped in here after a bike ride and had a burger. One of the best seasoned burgers I've ever had, excellent ! My friend was more than happy with his bowl of chowder.
