The restaurant feels like you are stepping back to grandma’s house on the farm. The Good Ol’ Boy cocktail is probably the best bourbon cocktail I have ever had. The food is fresh and delicious. We had the polenta cake and the hand rolled fettuccine with Shrimp and bacon. Portions were generous— there was no room for dessert but we will be back to try it another time. They converted their hotel rooms into private dining rooms for parties of 2-10, which is pretty ingenious in these COVID times. The waiter, bartender and hostess were all very attentive. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in the area.
I 'm not one to leave reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. I recently reserved two tables for about 20 people at the restaurant and I cannot think of a better dining experience I 've had in the past five years. Everyone from the hostesses to the waiting staff to the bartender were super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. It is one of those types of places where any food or drink you order is guaranteed to be a hit. I cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality and implore anyone traveling to the Ludlow area to book a table at this restaurant for a truly 'homestyle ' dining experience.
Absolutely loved dinner here and cannot wait to find an excuse to go again! Service was great, loved the relaxed atmosphere, we sat outside and it really felt like we were just having a nice evening at home. Only negative being they were out of mussels and a couple other things, one of which we ordered then found out was not available. Otherwise, loved every bit of it!
One of my favorite restaurants in Vermont. We ordered five articles, all vegetarians, and they were all fabulous. Many restaurants have cravings veggie options that feel like an afterthought, but these are worth coming back! The ambience is charming and the service is good. I wonder how soon we can return....
