Honest John's No Grill

Owner Johnny has crafted a wonderful escape filled with fun, food, and friendship. Even the restrooms are worth the trip! But when you sink your teeth into this Reuben, you won't find ordinary pre-packaged corned beef; it’s the real deal. I believe the rest of the menu is just as outstanding, but I'm a bit addicted to the Reuben. This is definitely my go-to place. Detroiters are known for our discerning taste in food, and you really can't go wrong here! I was born in Detroit, and I am proud of what Honest John's has to offer. I will definitely be back!

Phenomenal Late Night Menu! You have one of the best roasted chicken mines. Shredded salad, crispy or chicken, Gooey melted cheese and delicious ranch. Maybe. I was a few drinks before the order, but it was delish. The chicken and waffles are also a classic. Crispy hot chicken and a buttery golden delicious waffle. They have good mixed drinks, beer on tap and a friendly staff. Make a visit from day or night at any time.

Wow!! Their brunch menu was a great variety of choices between lunch and breakfast. We got everything from traditional breakfast and Reubens. The waitress recommended The Eastsider Reuben- and so would I. The chili and the burritos were equally good. They thankfully keep the lighting low on a Saturday morning to help with a good late Friday night lol

OMG! What’s a great brunch location on a Sunday at 9:30am. Parking is plentiful and the place was packed. The service, food and crowd was great. Don’t get dressed up and by all means bring the little ones. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast. Oh and YES …. **** Mary… several! Came here randomly with the recommendation of a strange. Best decision ever. Amazing dive bar with a super hippie vibe. Our server was Al, Who told us this place is the place to be after dark. Briefed us on the menu. And even told us the backstory about the extravagant story of honest John. The **** Mary’s are pretty awesome.

The food was fantastic! I tried the chicken wings and fries, and they were great. The bartender was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I absolutely love this place! The drink prices were reasonable too. The layout and decor were also amusing, and I really enjoy the vibe here.

Here on Thanksgiving morning. So many families, so fun. Definately a parade, football, turkey trot kinda vibe. Food is yummy as always. Had Breckenridge Christmas Ale on tap. A couple of stouts would have been nice.

This spot for brunch is highly underrated. I really enjoy the food, and the staff is quite friendly. Plus, parking is super convenient.
