I went to this Chinese and ordered £38 worth of food including won ton and it was literally deep fried filo pastry with no filling. I called and politely asked for a refund for this dish and was happy to bring it back to show them my issue. The lady was extremely rude saying that it was filled with chicken and I didn't need to bring the dish back because she works there so knows what it is. I had paid £4 for a few pieces of oily pastry so insisted that a refund would be the appropriate solution. The lady flat out refused but said I could have discount for next time. Deciding to look for Chinese food in an unfamiliar area on a Monday evening was probably our basic mistake. Several takeaways were closed, but the menu at this one seemed acceptable. The premises were clean and bright and service was impeccable. However, when we got our food home it was very disappointing. Some of the wontons had literally no filling, and they appeared to be made with filo pastry rather than wonton wrappers. The chicken in orange sauce had a very strange taste, and the Singapore noodles did not have their characteristic flavour. My salt and pepper squid was just about adequate. All in all, very disappointing.
I was really looking forward to getting Chinese takeout, but unfortunately, the dishes we ordered were all very bland. The Roast Duck with orange sauce had more batter than duck, and the Sweet and Sour Pork was overly battered with tough pork pieces. The Beef Chow Mein was decent, but it cooled down quickly. The Mushroom Foo Yong had large, undercooked mushrooms with hardly any egg. The Fried Rice was okay. Overall, I was disappointed with the food and ended up throwing out the leftovers. On top of that, they only accepted cash, which was inconvenient. It makes you wonder.
Rang up for a collection today and repeated my ordered to the man over 3 times as he kept repeating it back to me wrong then he said he got it, got to the Chinese and was handed the wrong order so I had to wait another 20 minutes for it to then be brought out in the wrong dish so I explained this to him which in response he said that it’s not the wrong dish and i was wrong.Then he went in to the back and messily thrown it in to the other dish and when I got home it was still the wrong order and it was not presented how it should be! I ordered a meal yesterday from Hong Kong House via Just Eat and really enjoyed it. First time I have had a takeaway from here and was really impressed with quality, portions and service. I only ordered a Lemon Chicken and a Special Chow Mein, but the amount of chicken in the Lemon Chicken was excellent and the Special Chow Mein was full of different meats/prawns... both really tasty. Arrived on time and nice and hot. Certainly recommend and will order from here again, especially as the delivery charge was only £1.
I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food at this restaurant. The portion sizes were generous and everything was served promptly. I highly recommend trying the Singapore fried rice. I will definitely be ordering from here again.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I called in a takeaway order for the Special Curry with Chips and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food.

Been trying to find a no-complaints Chinese take-away for while now. Many were OK, but nothing special. A few were dire. This was top notch. Great service food was cooked to perfection.
