I used to come here frequently when I worked down the street but that was over 5+ years ago. I came back today and got a mushroom burger and sweet potato fries and my husband got a double hook burger with fries. The service is good, they drop off your food to your table as well as pick up your trays when you're done eating. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing meal...not worth the price and lacking in flavor. We had to smother it in sauce. The prices have definitely gone up, $8-9 a burger and the portion is small. My husband and I visited Hook Burger for the first time. The food was very good. You wait in line and order with an associate. If you order a soft drink, it's self-serve and if you're dining in like we did, someone brings your food to your table. There was a lot of food items to choose and I noticed they had a lot of alcohol choices too. We weren't clear on whether we leave our trays on the table or not as we didn't see any trays by the trash so we left a nice tip on the table. Overall, out experience was a good one I would definitely return. Btw, the sweet potato french fries were amazing!! I highly recommend getting those in addition to whatever you order.
The burgers taste good but didn't surprised me, personally I prefer a thin patty that matches the size of the bun, this burgers have a 5oz patty but since it is a little thick, the bun oversizes the patty, makes it look smaller and feels like too much bread. The brioche bun is good and the cheese too, the Maui burger comes with a slice of pineapple, it's good but it's too thin in my opinion. The place looks really nice and service is good too.
THE best food ever. Every bite I take its just so darn tasty. Got the Hook Cheese Burger, Onion Rings and a Cole Slaw. If you have never been. I suggest you get over there. Dine In or Online Ordering, or Food Delivery Services. Wow is all I can say. I'd take a picture but it's usually in my belly when I think about a review. Try it! Gone downhill, the quality and quantity is not what it was. Disappointing Cobb Salad; looked more like chicken scraps and bacon bits but the price went up, which is what the reply from management will likely focus on as dismiss the rest of the review. Sad.
I picked up 3 sandwiches the other day and had to go back to return my orders as one of my sandwiches had MOLD on its bread. Hook burger slogan says “fresh bread daily”. I don’t think so. As a customer for years, I just can’t go back there anymore.
Burger was good as were the fries BUT the coleslaw was like eating shredded cabbage. It had no flavor at all and was very dry . Service was good
