The burgers are very good. The wait staff are friendly and polite. This place very popular with the local police so don't be surprised if there an officer in line with you. I offered the officer to take my place in line so he and his partner didn't have to wait. Often times their lunchtime is interrupted with an emergency so I wanted them to enjoy the fine Hook burger before having to respond to a call. This place is on Ventura Blvd. and the noise from the traffic can be a tad distracting if one is eating on the open patio. It's shaded so that's nice, especially in the summer. They have indoor seating but it cannot accommodate more than 20 or so. Hook Burger is a gem.
My husband and I visited Hook Burger for the first time. The food was very good. You wait in line and order with an associate. If you order a soft drink, it's self-serve and if you're dining in like we did, someone brings your food to your table. There was a lot of food items to choose and I noticed they had a lot of alcohol choices too. We weren't clear on whether we leave our trays on the table or not as we didn't see any trays by the trash so we left a nice tip on the table. Overall, out experience was a good one I would definitely return. Btw, the sweet potato french fries were amazing!! I highly recommend getting those in addition to whatever you order.
I CRAVE THIS PLACE!!! Have you ever ordered fries and they were mid? The fries at Hook burger are always piping hot, perfectly seasoned, still thin cut, but meaty! But, what I love the most is their turkey burger. I love tasting the charbroiled goodies and even on the beef patties as well (for my kids). Hook burger was founded by the same gentleman who started the Habit Burger. But, SO much better! They have the best and friendliest employees and I promise you they are always smiling! Love, love, love Hook Burger! If you like burgers, I’d highly recommend trying Hook burger. You will get Hook’d!
I picked up 3 sandwiches the other day and had to go back to return my orders as one of my sandwiches had MOLD on its bread. Hook burger slogan says “fresh bread daily”. I don’t think so. As a customer for years, I just can’t go back there anymore.
Good burger and shake. The floats are great it is full of soft-serve and then they top it off with soda. The onion rings are delicious and very crispy
Always love the veggie burger with substituted goat cheese, extra sprouts and extra tomatoes. It was my birthday dinner. Delicious!
Been going here for three years. Tasty burgers, excellent chicken bistro on sourdough, healthy salads. All for reasonable prices.
Had turkey burger. Very good. Not dry at all like other places. Cesar salad was also good.
Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious...prices are really reasonable too
