Some years back before visiting the theatre we had a delicious mackerel dish here, and were looking forward to a fish and chips lunch. Sadly disappointing, dry fish, dry chips, even dry 'crushed ' peas. Perhaps if we 'd chosen a different dish, but if they can 't do proper fish and chips......... Staff didn 't engage with the customers. Cannot recommend.
We were disappointed to find the restaurant so cold when we arrived at 5.30 for dinner, which unfortunately took away from the overall experience. The service was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday night. We felt a bit rushed throughout the meal. The food and service were both very good, though. Thank you.
We were unable to try the Christmas menu due to a party of three, but we were satisfied with our selections from the regular menu. The food and service were excellent, and we appreciated the discount for military personnel.
The dining experience was pleasant and affordable. The tapas starters were excellent and offered great value for the quality. I am looking forward to visiting again. The staff were all very kind as well. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Not as traditional a place as some of the other places I visited but the music was good (not radio) and had I been sticking around then the food choice was
Nice service. Just a glass of wine, pie and meatballs. Pleasant service and tasty food. Nice atmosphere.

"We went to Penrose Kitchen on the last night of my cousin's visit to Cornwall from Australia. Can't praise Sam, Ben and the staff highly enough! Relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food and great service. We'll definitely be back looking forward to next time!!"

"The £23 BBQ experience was disappointing as many items were missing, including the advertised seafood. I ended up settling for rice and noodles instead. When I requested a discount on the bill for the missing items, it was refused. Overall, it was not worth the price."
