We received a lukewarm reception at the restaurant, and were then asked to pay an additional £10 for the room, despite being quoted a set price of £120. We refused this extra charge. The staff also requested that we pay upfront in cash, which was a new experience for us after 20 years of staying in hotels. The room itself was very small, requiring us to store our suitcases in the bathroom to prevent tripping over them. However, the bathroom was quite nice, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. In our opinion, a more reasonable price for the room would be around £80.
We came here as a family and our tea and the lady behind the bar was lovely. The food was amazing and the service was also first class. We had a wonderful family meal at Caravan. We stumbled upon this gem by chance and will definitely come back again. The restaurant is kid-friendly and offers great value for the delicious dishes.
