I have always enjoyed visiting here for a meal until I went with vouchers worth £40. The vouchers where given to me by my work friends last Oct to cheer me up while having Chemotherapy Radiotherapy for lung cancer. I was too poorly to...use them at that time. The vouchers where valid until 31/03/22 but when I presented them to a member of staff she said she had to speak to the manager first. He then informed me that the vouchers are not valid because the previous owners had left! He told me to ring the previous owners to get a refund!! (Who are now living in Spain) I thought this was very bad customer service his attitude was rude too. I will definitely not be going back! I got in touch with...
The place was full on our arrival and warm and welcoming. We were soon shown to our pre booked table after ordering our drinks at the bar. We ordered five Sunday lunches of which one was a child's portion. They arrived to our table hot...and looked delicious. Yes they were as good as they looked. Finishing off with a sweet from a great selection with another drink made the night perfect . We highly recommend the food the service and the place for a relaxing meal and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be making this our first choice. Thanks to all.
this is our second visit in this pub. our first visit was very good this time. had to start the goat cheese, which was very nice. for the main course the sirloin steak decided. to be brutally honest, it was terrible not well cooked and...the parts still raw. informed a worker who said they would not give the cook any other feedback. the bill was £87, which would have been reasonable if the food were acceptable. my wife also not really happy with her steak so a bad visit unfortunately
what happened to our friendly community pub where we met friends for a few drinks and an occasional meal! the change of the personal is phenomenal, the menus are only laminated pieces of paper instead of the beautiful folder...we were used to not mention the contents. my apple crumb was all fragile, no apple and soggy. will not hurry to go back. We always used to enjoy our visits to the Horton arms, But after tonight's dreadful experience we will not be visiting again. After a wait of over an hour,all of the meals we received were not as we ordered, when we informed the staff we...were approached by a very rude lady who told us that the staff were new we all make mistakes
We visited the Horton Arms for a Mother's Day lunch. It was very busy as expected. The food was very good and the service excellent. Everything looked clean and well laid out. Although busy the staff were very friendly and we had a great meal....I would recommend this pub to anyone and I will be visiting again.
with some friends booked could not be happier! eating was beautiful, the staff super friendly helpful the service was spot on. in any case to visit again as it was a good value for money. it is nice to see that the independent pubs hang...in after the last terrible 2 years! many thanks. x
